♊️ Mars Conjunct Uranus in Gemini on July 3rd

Get ready for some highly electric, unpredictable energy. I love rebellious energy and on Friday Mars, the planet of drive and action, meets Uranus, the planet of awakening and innovation. Because they’re meeting up in intellectual Gemini expect a sudden breakthrough in communication and a spark of creativity.

Break free from old habits and limiting restrictions you’ve put on yourself.

7️⃣ On Tuesday July 7, we have the 7/7 Portal

On Tuesday we hit the spiritual jackpot! In numerology, the number 7 is the mystic and truth seeker representing wisdom and introspection. It’s a day for deep self-reflection. But things get a bit tricky. We have Mercury retrograde in Cancer, which illuminates any emotional baggage you may have AND Neptune retrograde in Aries, which strips away any illusions.

This is the energy of spiritual awakening so expect your inner wisdom to be amplified. Trust your intuition and find safety in healing any emotional baggage you’ve been carrying around.

🪄 Alchemize the Energy: Crown Chakra Enlightenment Bath

The #7 is related to the Crown Chakra, which is the 7th and highest energy center within your body (at the top of the head). Do this ritual Tuesday night to tap into your intuition and find the answers you’ve been looking for.

You’ll need:

• Epsom salt

• 7 drops of lavender or frankincense essential oil

• a glass of drinking water

Instructions:

I personally like to start these types of rituals by putting on 528 hertz music (I have a free playlist already created), for deep meditation.

Keep the glass of water near. Draw a warm bath and add in the salts and oils with the intention to connect in with your own intuition. Then submerge yourself and close your eyes, while imagining your crown chakra illuminate with a bright violet light at the very top of your head.

Use your intuition and trust that you are connecting in with your higher self. Now ask for clarity on a specific problem.

ex: What needs to be released in order for me to achieve X? How can I heal the pain of Y? What truths have I been avoiding? Why am I afraid to admit Z to myself? How can I love and appreciate myself more?

This isn’t about forcing or overthinking, it’s about allowing the answer to come and trusting whatever you ‘hear’.

Hold the glass of water in both hands and speak your intentions into it. Use the message you just received to infuse water with whatever it is you needed to hear. Then drink the entire glass to anchor the high vibrational spiritual energy back into your physical body.

💁‍♀️ Story Time: Living in Tune with yourself in the current society

Is it just me or does it constantly feel like everything is barking at us. My phone is going off all the time nonstop. Every single app is vying for my attention and the only thing I want do is chuck it out of the window in an attempt to save my nervous system from overdrive.

I'm the type of person that gets extremely overwhelmed when there are too many messages. My typical solution is to ignore and pretend they're not there with a promise to handle later. But inevitably the messages start stacking up, because I know once I respond, the person on the other end will respond to my response and the number will continue to increase.

As humans living in 2026 were not given the opportunity to sit in silent and reflect. Nothing about our lives in current society encourages quiet time. We watch screens while looking at screens, with 2-5 second attention spans (thank you Tiktok), and wonder why we can't get in touch with our intuition.

As an entrepreneur, I'm struggling with this more now than ever. I have a never ending to-do list in my personal and professional lives, all while trying to keep up my relationships, build a client list, and find time for myself. I'm sure you can imagine which one ends up at the bottom of the list. I miss the days of minimal responsibility. When I could slack off in the office or pretend to WFH as I ran errands or caught up on Love Island.

We've entered an era of being available at all times, with an expectation to answer someone almost immediately, which is exactly why I spend most of my days on DND. If I don't, I get completely lost in my phone. Before I know it three hours has gone by, doing God only knows what, and now I’m behind on everything I had planned for my day. That's when the guilt settles in. I punish myself by taking away the activities I know will serve my mental and physical health, with the justification that I’ve squandered that time away

The first thing to go is my meditation, which arguably is the most important thing for me, followed by my workouts. By the time I go to the gym, stretch, work out, chit-chat a bit with friends, and drive back two + hours has gone by. Two hours that could be spent writing my blog, developing a healing, recording a subliminal, or creatings a few TikTok's.

When I skip meditations and workouts, I get restless and cranky. I find myself wasting time, dicking around doing nothing, which is always always accompanied with some sort of justification for my bad behavior.

I’m sharing this because I think people assume I have it all figured out. I’m continually praised for my work ethic, accomplishments, and my ability to create and produce so much. But both can be true and often it comes at a cost.

The reality is, it doesn't come easy to me. I continue to fuck up. I'm constantly scrutinizing and being hard on myself, which has low key turned into a driver to accomplish my goals. Old patterns are so easy for me to fall back into—it’s like riding a bike. I can’t actually tell you the last time I meditated, which used to be a daily practice for me, and that’s… really sad.

As someone with ADHD, it's not easy for me to maintain habits. Every habit is completely built on discipline. I don't crave working out. I don't get the the feel good endorphins everyone talks about afterwards. I do it for the aesthetics, cognitive boost, and because it’s essential for my body function at its best (thank you Human Design). It can be really difficult to juggle a healthy lifestyle.

I want to normalize how someone whose profession is healing, struggles to find the time to give herself regular healings. I want to normalize how challenging it can be to stay in tune with yourself and that for some it requires a conscious choice to better your life, driven by genuine desire rather than obligation. And I want normalize how grueling daily upkeep can be in a world that constantly demands so much of us.

We are all just doing our best. Even if best sometimes looks like 20%. So the next time you compare yourself to a seemingly flawless person on the internet, remember: the age of perfectionism is dying. The pendulum is swinging and it’s time we start normalizing reality.

◼️ Mars Square Lunar Nodes

The nodes are the karmic axis. North Node is where you are growing toward, South Node is the old comfortable pattern you default to. Mars is drive, desire, and how you take action.

🪄 Alchemize the Energy: Pruning the Vine Ritual

Full moons are natural times to let go of what no longer serves you. Because of the Earth sign energy, this is a great day to clear out old habits that block your joy or professional success

You’ll Need:

• fresh strawberries to represent abundance, sweetness, + the harvest

• a black or dark bowl to represent Capricorn’s grounding, earthy nature

• a pen and paper

Instructions:

1. Find a quiet space where you can see the moon, ideally outside on the ground (but if that’s not an option you can sit near a window)

2. Close your eyes and center yourself in your heart. Visualize roots growing from the base of your spine, reaching deep into the Earth. (Capricorn wants us fully grounded)

3. On your paper, get honest and write down one specific illusion or bad habit you are ready to stop romanticizing

   e.g., “I’m letting go of the illusion that my career will fix itself without taking action.” or “I release the habit of ignoring my needs for external validation.”

4. Rip this piece of paper into small pieces, which symbolizes breaking the power of that cycle. Then place the pieces into your dark bowl

5. Now place your hands over your plate of fresh strawberries and reflect on all the hard work you’ve put into these last six months (personally or professionally - we often forget about everything we’ve done because we’re quickly onto the next, so really sit here!)

6. Speak your gratitude out loud:

   “I honor my growth. I accept the sweetness I have earned.”

7. Eat a strawberry slowly. Tasting the sweetness in each bite. And visualize yourself stepping into a more stable, balanced version of your life.

8. Take the ripped papers from the bowl and bury them outside in the dirt, or throw them directly into the trash. As you do, say:

   “Mistakes are compost for my growth.”

💁‍♀️ Storytimeeee

Taking a leap of faith is terrifying, especially as you get older. I don’t know why it becomes so much more difficult, but it is. I’d like to blame in on social media, but I think the answer is simply the fear of failure, as an adult, feels humiliating.

As children we had no problem failing. Even (especially) after a misstep toddlers become stubborn, insistent, and determined. “No, me!” Wanting to try, try, try until they’re met with the sweet victory of success. Then they want to try again. At some point that passion and fire begins to extinguish and we become resigned to the fact that failure IS an option.

I’d like to blame judgement from society on this one. We now exist in a time full of aesthetically pleasing, perfectly curated homes, restaurants, and hotels. While it’s obviously beautiful, I can’t help but notice each design has started to bleed into the next. Perfect curation no longer feels individualized, probably because it’s so easy to copy/paste from one room to the next.

Yet, we crave individuality. Searching for places to spend our time, in and around unique people and things, because it teaches us so much more about the world. It feeds our senses and expands our creativity in a way that no copycat design ever could.

So why is it so scary to be an individual? Or to go after the life you actually want? Insert a laundry list of excuses here:

LAMEEEEEE ASS EXCUSES. These limiting beliefs are running the show as time literally slips through our fingers. Yes, failing is scary, but you know what’s scarier? Living a life full of regret, because regret breeds other nasty emotions like anger, resentment, shame, and grief. How many people do you know living with anger, resentment, shame, and grief who are actually happy? I’m going to bet zero on this one. The word curmudgeon comes to mind.

A curmudgeon is a crusty, ill-tempered, and usually old person who is easily annoyed, stubborn, and given to frequent complaining.

When I decided to quit my safe, secure, comfortable corporate job (that I was absolutely miserable in) almost 2 years ago, I didn’t have a plan. I didn’t even have money, financial support, or even family supprot. All I knew was that I was worth more than the bull shit I was putting up with. I knew I had a bigger purpose and that I deserved to live a fulfilling life, on my terms, not someone else’s.

As soon as I made that life altering decision, everything started to fall into place for me. It’s just like everyone says: the right people, experiences, and opportunities start to fall into you lap, without even trying. I kept worrying about how I was going to afford to live more than 6 months without my corporate safety net, when I found out I had a pension I could cash in. It was literal money from heaven and a sign I was being fully supported by the Universe.

Every fear I’ve had has been met with a solution. Not one I had to chase and run after, but one appeared as if out of thin air. When I decided to call in the life of my dreams, I stopped chasing and started attracting. All the healing work I had done on worthiness set me up for success, allowing me to call back my own sovereignty.

Ultimate authority over one’s own physical body, mental space, emotional well-being, and life choices.

I started taking radical responsibility for my life, my decisions, and my dreams. I stopped trying to manifest and started living in alignment with the life I wanted. I embodied future Christina, Healer Christina. It was terrifying, not because it was actually scary, but because it forced me to face all the limiting beliefs I’d been holding onto so tightly for all those years.

The excuses, reasons, and blocks that kept me small for so long had allowed me to live in an illusion of safety. Once a protective measure, they now represented an old, outdated version of self. One I no longer identified with. One I wanted to leave behind. So I base jumped, without a net or a bungee cord to protect my fall and it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made.

🌻 Sun Enters Cancer + Summer Solstice on Saturday the 21st

Cancer season begins — come home to yourself. Nurture and honor your emotional depths.

Because it’s such an important time of year I want to expand more on the Summer Solstice. The 21st marks the first day of the summer and is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere (when the sun reaches it highest point in the sky). This is the ideal time to celebrate everything your growth and own your visibility! It carries with it the energy of abundance and an invitation to honor the cycles of life.

Lean into illumination, gratitude, fire energy, vitality, abundance, stepping into the light, and releasing anything you don't want to carry into the 2nd half of the year.

Summer Solstice also has significant ties to the Black Moon Lilith, which is the point in the Moon’s orbit that’s farthest away from Earth. Astrologically it represents the wild, untamed, reclaimed feminine. Giving you permission to be authentic without apology, especially if you’re used to dimming your light. Lilith empowers us to be our true unfiltered selves.

It doesn’t have to be one or the other. It’s time to own your power and your a shadow at the same time!

🪄 Alchemize the Energy: Summer Solstice Abundance Spell

Here is a spell to utilize the powerful energy of the longest day of the year on June 21st, the Summer Solstice.

You’ll need

• Seasonal fruits (to eat) + something to drink

• A yellow or gold candle

• A bowl of water

• A small, leafy branch

• Pen + paper

Cast your spell

1. Ground and center yourself in your body. Feel into the energy of abundance and the life-giving energies that flow through you from the Sun above and the Earth below. Really feel into what it feels like to be abundant and let this feeling wash over all the cells in your body.

2. Now focus on a goal. Once it becomes clear, write it down, fold it towards you, and place on your altar or working space. See your goal manifesting with abundance. Feel into what it would feel like to already have achieved that specific goal!

3. Charge the bowl of water by lifting it to the Sun or touching it to Mother Earth. Using the branch, sprinkle the water once around yourself, starting in the East and moving clockwise. Then sprinkle yourself with the water and say:

   I bless myself with the abundant Waters of Life.

4. Next charge your candle by lifting it to the Sun or touching it to Mother Earth, then hold it to your heart. Then light your candle and chant:

   Sun above + Earth below, rich with abundance, make my life grow!

5. When your energy peaks, place your candle in the bowl of water. Thank the Sun, thank Mother Earth, thank the water, raise your glass and drink. Offer some to Mother Earth. Eat and enjoy the richness, warmth, and beauty of this moment.

6. Make your offering by blowing out your candle and pouring the bowl of water in/onto the Earth. Then feel into the feeling of gratitude!

🔮 Oracle Insights:

You already know. The authority you keep scanning the world for lives deep within you, so the call is to turn your gaze inward and start each day from that feeling of being at home in yourself, moving through the world from an unshakable place rather than a reactive one. And there’s no rush. The anxiety that says you’re running out of time is the very thing that pulls you off your own wave and onto one that was never yours. Time is not running out, it’s never too late, and the only way to miss your life is to spend it afraid of missing it.

So trust the season you’re in, and root down into the ground beneath you, because home isn’t only inside you, it’s also the land that holds you. When you meet the earth with devotion and honor what holds you, it opens to hold you back, nourishing you and watching over you. Turn in, trust the wave, and let yourself be held

🌘 Balsamic Moon in Taurus on Thurs, June 11

Expect heavy, grounded energy on Thursday. It’s the perfect day to give your nervous system a break and simply be. This is not a day for over scheduling and go-go-going. Instead rest, relax, and restore.

◼️ Uranus Square to the Lunar Nodes on Fri, June 12

This is known as a macro-transit, which means its effects reverberate far beyond the 12th. The nodes represent fate and when Uranus, the planet of sudden awakening, squares them it becomes a cosmic disruptor.

If things start to go terribly wrong on Friday, don’t fight it. This transit is designed to shake loose whatever you’re clinging onto that doesn’t fit into the future version of you.

🌑 New Supermoon in Gemini on Sun, June 14

Meaning the Moon is closest to the Earth and its gravitational/energetic pull is at an all time high. Astrologers are closely watching the end of this dark moon phase because this Supermoon is uniquely unaspected. Usually they form aspects with other planets, but this one isn’t making any major contacts, which creates an unusually quiet, blank slate energy.

Lean into the void and it’s stillness if you can. The intentions you set each New Moon come to fruition in 6 months time. Since Gemini is ruled by Mercury, the planet of the mind, this New Moon will dictate your personal communication, writing, and mindset—so try to stay aware of the stories you’re telling yourself!

🪄 Alchemize the Energy: For My Corporate Baddies

The New Moon hits right before 10 PM on Sunday. Not the ideal time for a ritual, as it may coincide with the Sunday scaries and/or mentally prepping for the week ahead, so this week I’ve broken our alchemy out into 2 short parts.

Part 1: The Sunday Night Power Down

Use the final hours of the Balsamic Dark Moon to physically and digitally dump any clutter so you can sleep on a totally blank slate.

1. Take 5 minutes to close the 50 open tabs on your browser, delete 10 - 20 old screenshots (that you’ll never look at), and tidy up your physical workspace.

2. On a piece of physical paper do a complete unfiltered brain dump of every work stress or lingering anxiety from this past week. The point of this step is to get it all out of your head!

3. Now crumble that piece of paper and throw it in the trash. And mentally repeat: “I release the noise. My slate is clean.”

Part 2: The Monday Morning “Mindset Meeting” with Yourself

The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and my mood has never been better! I’ve been living for myself, in true, unabashed authenticity for the last six months and it’s been life changing. To the point that I keep asking myself why I didn’t do this sooner. And the truth is, I wasn’t ready.

The quality or state of being authentic, genuine, or bona fide; undisputed origin or veracity.

It was too scary to admit I was a psychic, medium, or seer. I downplayed my abilities and made excuses as to why I couldn’t’, wouldn’t or shouldn’t step into the person I truly am. I thought I needed to protect the person I love the most (my Mom), because being my true self would crush her and potentially break our relationship. But I was wrong! It didn’t and it hasn’t. Is it the ideal relationship I desire to have with her, not completely, but I understand on an emotional level why my profession is difficult for her to wrap her head around.

Because I’ve done the work. I’ve spent countless hours working on myself, reflecting, and healing. I’ve done the journaling, meditating, and therapy. I’ve held a mirror up to myself more times than I’dd like to admit, faced each one of my fears, and kept going. But I’m not like regular people. I have the capacity to hold a lot of pain and trauma, not only for myself, but for other people, which makes me the perfect person to do this type of work.

For a time, I was obsessed with memoirs, biographies, and autobiographies, the more depressing the better. I read about child slavery, sex work, and genocide. Then I’d go searching for more. I was almost addicted to the suffering of others, because it opened my eyes to the world, the real world. As Americans we think we have it so hard, but every day we go home to running water, a roof over our heads, with a front door that locks, and 5G internet. I’m not trying to diminish anyone’s experience, but when you zoom out we really are very lucky to have the type of problems we face on a day-to-day basis.

I think I was constantly looking for proof of reasons why I wasn’t a victim. Even now when someone looks at me with pity in their eyes, it sends a cringy shiver of disgust down my spine. I’ve always wanted to be bigger and better than my past, because I’d spent a majority of my life wrapped in the shame of who I was. I’d never done anything wrong, I was a victim of circumstance, one that I wouldn’t let define me. As much as my parents tried to suppress my voice, I couldn’t be stopped. I was floating between wanting to please them and wanting to tell my story. Even now, I’m reluctant to share the full extent and experience of my life, due to how other people will feel.

We are all reflections of each other. Each person in your life is holding up a mirror to you, whether you like it or not. Because Life is about learning and unlearning lessons. If you’re upset with someone, you’re probably upset with yourself. It’s a big concept that many people don’t want to admit. How can I be upset with myself if I’m mad at Person X? Well, that my friend, is for you to answer. This is where the deep reflection comes in.

Nothing about reflection is fun or easy. Putting a spotlight up to who you are, how you think, what you believe, where you’re putting your energy, and how you react is terrifying, because it starts to unearth all these other things about yourself that you may not want to admit. Once you’re able to get past the fear of reflection, something beautiful starts to emerge. You begin to understand yourself in a new light. You stop living in a world of excuses and start operating from a place of understanding. It turns into a beautiful equation:

Life Experience (X) + DNA (Y) = Behavior (Z)

When you look at it from this lens you realize you don’t actually have as much control over who you are, as led to believe. This is where healing comes into play:

Behavior (Z) / Healing (A) = Perspective (B)

And perspective is where all the juicy stuff happens. Perspective allows you to be softer and kinder to not only yourself, but the people in your life. It lightens the mental load you’ve been sluggishly carrying around for years on end. It brightens your aura and raises your vibration, which naturally puts you in alignment with your dreams and desires. You become a magnet for everything you’ve always wanted, without having to work harder, smarter, or faster. You begin to naturally start moving with the flow of life without exerting any effort.

This is where the magic happens, because everything you need is within YOU!

🪄 Alchemize the Energy: 6/6 Saturday Ritual

I got a voice note from an incredible astrologer friend who told me about a session she recently had with another healer…

“I think you’re way more talented than this woman. I don’t think you realize how connected you actually are. You’re starting to find your voice and now you’re having more of these [mediumship] experiences happen… all of this to say, I just know you have this [gift] Christina. I know it in my heart. Whether or not you see that in yourself, I see it in you!”

You see, I know I’m a medium, but I can’t always control it and I often doubt ‘what I hear’. But I’m lucky to be surrounded by people who believe in my abilities and unprompted, remind me of how talented I am, with the encouragement to keep going.

💁‍♀️ Story Time:

From Dec 2022-July 2025 I was so lost. Stuck in a toxic, failing relationship, unable to leave because of the guilt and shame I was feeling about breaking up with a partner who was on the brink of death due to an extreme case of congestive heart failure (which also happens to be what my dad died of). I found ways to excuse his cruelty and aggression because he was sick. What kind of person would I be to break up with someone who might die? And as someone who lived through her own health scares I tried to justify his actions, but always came up short.

Heart Problems (from Heal Your Body, Louise Hay)
Cause: long-standing emotional problems. Lack of joy. Hardening of the heart. Belief in strain and stress.
New Thought Pattern: Joy. Joy. Joy. I lovingly allow joy to flow through my mind and body and experience.

What I didn’t realize was just how dead inside I was. When you finally make it home to yourself, after being lost for so long you’re confronted with a myriad of questions. How did I let it get so bad? Why didn’t I leave sooner? What could I have done different? How could I have been so stupid?

That’s the thing about an abusive partner. They don’t start out that way. It’s all sunshine and roses until the first fight, when you get a glimpse of the monster underneath, which is inevitably followed by an excuse for their bad behavior. I remember fooling myself into believing that this must be a one off occasion. Spoiler: it wasn’t.

I’m sure you’re wondering what that first fight was and you’re probably not going to believe me. It was over at stupid fucking watch. A yellow gold 42mm Sky-Dweller with a black dial to be exact.

Like most nice watches, there was a waiting list, and while my best friend is a certified Rolex dealer there was nothing she could do to move his name up the list. Rolex did not give a fuck about who my boyfriend was.

Somewhere between the 7th shot and the 3rd line of coke (him, not me), my ex became outraged. I’ll spare you the details. Just know I was up all night defending my lifelong relationship with my best friend. He was trying to convince me that her inability to sell him the watch sooner was a reflection of how much she cared about me. Which is absolutely absurd.

It wasn’t until the next day, when he’d sobered up and I’d deflated into a puddle at work, exhausted from the hours I’d spent crying on little to no sleep, that he apologized. He realized, after a quick google search, that Kristin’s parents didn’t own the store she worked at. Silly him. He thought that was her family store, which is why he assumed there was something she could do. I was speechless.

I wish I could go back in time and slap myself in the face or have someone run over me with a car. Maybe that would have knocked some sense into me. Looking back now, I'm in shock and awe that I survived it all, always putting on a happy face, pretending everything was perfect and that I was so happy. I’d been taught from a young age to compartmentalize and pretend, so without a second thought I fell back into the old patterns I knew so well.

I want to write a slew of mean, hatred things about myself right now, but I’ve vowed to stop doing that. Because there IS a brightside: I came back to myself.

Over this last year the light in my eyes shines brighter than ever before. I’ve fallen so deeply in love with myself, that I now choose my happiness over the need to please others. I even started creating and upholding healthy boundaries (which I’ve never been able to do until now). For the first time in my life, I’m living for me!

It’s apparent in everything I do: how I carry myself, talk to and about myself, the decisions I make, and the people I allow into my life. And I have energy healing to thank. This is why I’m so passionate about my work. It literally changed my life!

So many people who are just existing, doing the bare minimum to get through the day, only to numb themselves with substances because they’re too afraid to face the shadows. But when you come back to yourself, you realize just how much life you’ve been missing out on. I want this for everyone, and I know it’s possible. The first step is choosing yourself!

🪐 Venus Squares Saturn on Thurs, May 28

Venus (planet of values, relationships, and beauty) squares up with Saturn (structure, commitment, and discipline), which immediately causes unwanted tension. One of the best ways to deal with this energy are to work with it. Maybe you need to create some healthy boundaries or have a difficult conversation about what YOU need. 🌝 A Rare Full Blue Moon in Sagittarius on Sun May 31

Just like the saying goes, once in a Blue Moon is the 2nd full moon within a calendar month, which only happens every few years and is believed to amplify the energy of that sign even more.

Full Moons are all about completion and release and this one is asking you to let go and create space for something better to come in. Because it falls in Sagittarius, the emphasis lands on growth and expansion, especially in the areas of your career and finances. 🪄 Alchemize the Energy: Blue Moon Decision Ritual

Incision and overwhelm are all too common when attempting to achieve your goals, and even though you know what you want to do, you may find you have no idea where to start. This ritual is intended to take the guesswork out of getting the ball rolling. It works in a similar way to pulling Oracle cards, drawing the action that is needed in a particular moment for you.

You'll need: a pen, slips of paper, Unlimited Spray or Full Moon Clarity Spray, a box or bag

Find a quiet place and settle into your body. Bring to mind a goal you would like to accomplish and hold the vision in your mind for several moments, focusing on the actions you can take immediately to start working towards it.

Once you have a clear vision, open your eyes and write down each different action on the paper, one action per slip of paper. Lightly mist the paper with a small amount of the spray; you don't want the papers to be damp.

Put all the papers into the box and shake for a few moments to mix up the contents. Close your eyes and take deep breaths until you feel calm and relax. Ask yourself what action you need to take most to fulfill your goal.

With your eyes still closed, reach inside the box and pull out one single slip of paper. Open your eyes and read it out loud. This is the most important action to take at this time. Work this step. Once complete, repeat the ritual until you've gone through all the slips of paper. 1

💁‍♀️ Story Time:

I used to be such a gremlin. I wanted zero responsibility with 80% fun and 20% chaos. I was here for a good time, not a long time, ready to distract myself with a myriad of vices, one more exciting than the next.

gremlin | /ˈɡremlən/| noun

1. An imaginary mischievous sprite regarded as responsible for an unexplained mechanical or electronic malfunction.

2. A person, typically small in stature, who behaves in a chaotic, unruly, or mischievous manner.

A few weeks ago I was out with some girlfriends when I ran into some of my ex’s friends. We were reminiscing about all the late night fun we used to have in the city, when I remembered the breathalyzer!

No, not the kind the cops give you. Thankfully, I’ve never had a DUI, but I’ve been close. Blowing was not required, but walking the line was and by the grace of God I passed. As a naturally bubbly personality I’ve always been underestimated for my intelligence, so I leaned in. Acting like a poor, helpless damsel, never hurts when you’re about to potentially get arrested.

Always one for a good time, I thought a handheld breathalyzer would be a fun party trick. This was back in 2011, before Amazon became a super hub for anything and everything within a 24 hour window. It took so long to arrive, that I’d forgotten I’d even ordered it. And with that, a new drinking game was born.

The rules were simple: who can blow the highest number by the end of the night? As a 5ft person, I can tell you, it wasn’t me. My ex and his friends are Serbian and very tall people, each one towering over the next. So it was no surprise that one of the guys easily reached an impressive 0.35% by the end of the night. I’m pretty sure this meant he was legally dead, but like a true champion he was still standing, proudly pumping his fists into the air at the thrill of victory.

We were the idiots our parents had warned us about. The ones who’d pressure you to drink copious amounts of alcohol (“who wants a shot? No? I’d scoff at the people who wanted to get up early on a Saturday morning to workout (losers) or who cut themselves off after the second drink. Not me, I wanted to close the bars down and parrrr-tyyyy.

It’s especially funny because I live such a vastly different life. Come 10PM I’m snuggled in bed ready to pass out, not from substances, but from a mix of ashwagandha and magnesium 🙃. It’s a rare occasion to find me out past midnight, because now I’m the one with the ridiculously robust morning routine. Waking up anywhere between 5:30-7:30 AM (I don’t set an alarm):

1. I start with peptide shots: KPV (for inflammation) + 5-Amino (for metabolic health)

2. I have to wait 30 min before I can eat, so next I put on my Quantum Shift Subliminals (#3 is 30 min long, which is the perfect timer)

3. followed by hot water with lemon + Baja Gold sea salt (the best for hydration, electrolytes, + digestion)

4. then I prep my vitamins + supplements (which I take with breakfast)

   1. 15 ml Living Silica (hair, skin, nails) + L-Carnitine (amino acid)

   2. a dry scoop of Amara Collstrum (gut health)

   3. Ashwagandha (stress), 1/2 a Zinc (immunity + copper balance), D3K2 (bone + immunity), Super B Complex (energy + nervous system), NAC (antioxidant + liver), CoQ10 (cellular energy + heart)

5. 15 min of face massage with Anastasia Beauty

6. then I prep and eat a quick, warm breakfast while I practice 5-10 min of Duolingo en Espanol

7. followed by coffee (mold free) with 5mg creatine (strength + muscle)+ 2 scoops beef collagen (skin + joints)

And now I’m ready to start the day. Thankfully the whole process only takes 30-35 min.

One thing about me, I hate routine. I HATEEEE IT with every ounce of my being. I understand some people thrive with routine, but to me it’s confining. I think this is attributed to the fact that I have a stellium in Sagittarius. I want the freedom to do whatever tf I want, whenever I want.

Enter delusion. I’ve gaslit myself, kicking and screaming, into following the aforementioned protocol most mornings (usually giving myself Sundays off). I’m convinced this is what successful entrepreneurs do, so I, being a very successful entrepreneur, force myself to do it.

25 year old Christina would be disgusted by my behavior, which makes me giggle. I wouldn’t think twice about taking unknown drugs from a stranger and now I refuse to eat anything hot or cold that’s touched plastic. It just shows, regardless of who we once were, we can always change and evolve into someone else! I fear the death of Hunoverbarbie is upon us.

Uranus meets up with the Sun at the exact same degree, where it becomes supercharged and empowered. While this is great news, there’s a catch, because Uranus is the planet of disruption. 🪄 Alchemize the Energy: Make Unlimited Spray

This one's great for a Kick of motivation. The mist is all about believing in yourself! You’ll need:

• 14 drops of blue mallee eucalyptus essential oil

• 12 drops of sandalwood essential oil

• 3 drops of spearmint essential oil

• 1/2 oz or 15ml witch hazel or vodka

• 1.5 oz or 45 ml distilled water

• Optional black obsidian chips

🫶 Overheard in Session

I had a new client on Monday who received a ton of impactful, validating messages. One of them being to practice mirror work. According to one of the GOATs Louise Hay:

Mirror work is the most effective method I’ve found for learning to love yourself and see the world as a safe and loving place. I have been teaching people how to do mirror work for as long as I have been teaching affirmations.

It’s about getting to know yourself on a soul level, without judgement. I’ve found one of the easiest ways to implement this practice into your daily life is to do it when you’re brushing your teeth. It’s okay if it’s awkward or weird at first, just stick with it. Eventually you’ll be able to do it with easy, while telling yourself how wonderful you are!

If saying "I love you" feels too difficult at first, start with a gentler step: "I am willing to learn to love myself." You can also try:

"I release the need to be perfect", "I love my body", "I forgive myself for not knowing what I know now”, or my personal favorite "I am open and receptive to all the good and abundance the universe has to offer!"

💁‍♀️ Story Time:

The first time I conducted a healing I was not good. The raging self-doubt and imposter syndrome nearly crippled me. I felt so dumb. My internal dialog (per usual) was screaming at me loud and clear: What am I even doing here? Who do I think I am? I’m not a healer, so why am I paying all this money to be here when I’ll never be good at this?!

Being a psychic/healer/medium didn’t come easy to me. Especially considering the fact that I was living a life of constant distractions. In between avoiding my anxieties and numbing my fears was a messy mix of drugs, alcohol, food, shopping, men, and perceived fun (aka getting fucked up). It’s nearly impossible to tap into the spirit realm or your higher self when you exist in a space full of mental clutter. And that was just how I liked it. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. If I didn’t acknowledge it, then I didn’t have to admit there might be something bigger and better for me on the other side.

Regardless of what I did (or didn’t do) though, the nagging feeling wouldn’t let up. Maybe I did have a bigger purpose? Maybe, just maybe, I could be a healer?

If you know me, then you know I’m a rebel. I’m going to do the opposite of what’s expected of me regardless of consequence. I was already living in a constant shame spiral, so adding a taboo practice to the list of things my parents would disapprove of, seemed like the next logical step.

Thankfully, when you join any type of learning program you’re forced to hone in on your abilities. We started off by practicing on ourselves. This felt like a joke to me. In true Christina fashion I tried a couple times then gave up. Nothing was coming through and I didn’t believe it was working, so I threw my hands in the air and put my focus on something far less important. [Insert a myriad of unhelpful distractions here]

When the time came to partner up with our peers I was a wreck. Talk about anxiety inducing! Leaning fully into full procrastination mode I waited until the very last minute to practice with my partner. I can’t even begin to tell you what happened during that first session, because it was so forgettable. BUT I can tell you about the first time I finally tapped it!

One of the best ways to learn to be a healer, is to receive regular healings. The focus was usually around unlocking our gifts, removing the blocks holding us back, and increasing our capacity to hold/access higher levels of consciousness. After months of learning, it all started to click.

I’ll never forget it. I was practicing with my dear friend Mary Rose. By this point I’d built such a strong bond with this incredible woman, an ex corporate HR exec who was old enough to be my mother, that I felt safe enough to fail. Normally I was grasping at straws for information. Pulling images and facts out of my mind, unsure of what I was ‘seeing’.

Suddenly everything was crystal clear. “I’m seeing a big pink poofy dress. A cupcake dress. You know, like Glinda the Good Witch from the Wizard of Oz?” and my friend said, “My best friend just passed away and on her deathbed she gave me a pin of the ruby red slippers!” (Tears are flooding my eyes, as I think about what a turning point that day was for me.) I was dumbfounded. There’s NO WAY I could have known that. I remember thinking, the only explanation is that… I actually might be… a psychic.

Now my gifts are stronger than ever and they continue to evolve more and more each day. People always want an explanation of how it works, and I honestly couldn’t fully tell you. What I do know, is that it requires unwavering faith in yourself, a willingness to be open, and a desire to ‘listen’ even when it seems ridiculous. Messages don’t arrive in the traditional sense, far often than not they come in unexplainable ways.

For me it’s a knowing. A thought or idea will pop into my head seemingly out of nowhere. Sometimes I close my eyes when trying to tap in, but I don’t actually see anything. It’s just a black hole of nothingness in my mind. I do that so I can turn off some of my other senses. It’s kind of like needing to turn down the radio in your car when looking at directions. I need one part to go quiet, so the other can turn up.

As a medium, I also feel weight or pressure on my chest or around my neck whenever a spirit’s trying to communicate with me. I used to think it was an anxiety attack, but now I realize it’s just spirit’s way of getting my attention (since I’m a busy body and constantly on the move).

Over this past year I finally learned to stop second guessing myself. Whenever a thought, image, idea, or name enters my mind, I say it. And sometimes it really freaks people out! Lololol which of course is my favorite part. I love a little shock value ;)

The number one question I get from people is: but how does it work? Healing that is. Sure, there’s a process, methodology, and science to back everything up, but the reality is it works because I’m psychic. Andddd it’s taken me about 40 years to admit that. Why? Well, probably because it terrifies my born again Christian Mother. But ya girl’s no longer afraid to be herself and scream it from the rooftops. [insert the sounds of angelic harps + a gust of wind blowing through my hair] I’m a psychic medium who has the ability to connect with angels, ancestors, and spirit! ✨

Wow it feels so good to admit that out loud with no shame! It’s like a weight lifted off my chest. I’ve been living in the spiritual closet for so long, denying my true self because I didn’t want to make my mom uncomfortable, but the truth is she’s never going to be happy, let alone comfortable with my line of work, so why would I keep trying. Maybe someone should send her this article? To be clear, that was just a joke. Don’t even think about it. We’re not trying to give Kathy a heart attack.

Before covid (does anyone else do this? It low key reminds me of BC-AD, making covid the modern day time marker) I started seeing a healer, Lisa Thomas, to help me process the grief of my father’s sudden death, understand the root cause of my cancer diagnosis, and heal from a traumatic incident that happened around age 11. In our sessions, she kept telling me I was going to be a great healer one day. I’d already been hearing this for sometime: you have healing hands. But in true Christina fashion, I brushed it off as nothing and assumed people were just being nice to me. (This is also inclination I have when I get hit on lol)

At some point Lisa started promoting the Soul Awakening Method, a program developed to teach others her exact methodology. Every time I thought about joining I’d burst into tears. My nervous system was a wreck. My desire to learn was aggressively overshadowed by negative self doubt and crippling imposter syndrome. Who am I to think I could heal people? I’m not a healer, I’m a party girl. No one in their right mind will ever take me seriously in this profession, I’m Hungover Barbie.

But I couldn’t stop thinking about it. And now Lisa was pushing: “I really think you should consider joining.” Like most things that are good for me, I had a million excuses. I was grasping at straws, looking for any reason NOT to believe in myself, because that was just too scary.

What if I joined and found out I couldn’t actually do it? What if my suspicions were right, and I was a fraud? What if the thing that had been lighting my heart up with so much joy was a false sense of security? I’d spent so much of my life living in disappointment, and I couldn’t fathom the idea of adding something I actually wanted to the list.

That’s when destiny swept in to help. My sweet mentor believed in me and helped me get out of my own way. It’s amazing how the Universe works. When you need something it will always show up for you at the 11th hour. I say this a lot in my healings: the Universe doesn’t hoard resources. Instead, they show up just when you need them, like in nature.

If you’ve ever done a 1:1 healing with me, you’re familiar with this method (which is completely different from my recordings). We start by getting energetically connected and then I ask your body a series of questions to pinpoint the root of your emotional pain or trauma. Most of the time, the emotions we’re holding onto have been inherited and passed down through the DNA, a phenomenon now backed by the study of epigenetics. That’s why it can feel impossible to move past certain thought loops or behaviors. The emotions you’re feeling aren’t actually yours to being with. Then, voila, I do an energetic clean sweep and remove the emotional block.

I know what you’re thinking. BUT HOW? Tbh I don’t know how. I mean I know, but I don’t know know. When releasing an emotion, I wave one of my hands over the governing meridian, the energy center located at the top of the head. The motion is very distracting to watch, which is why I always turn the camera off. Nobody needs to watch me sweeping my arm back and forth for an hour. Because we’re energetically connect, I’m tapped into your energy and able to shoo the negative emotions away.

Of course there’s a lot more to it than this, but this is the the most dumbed down, simplified explanation I could come up with. After we remove a negative emotion, we replace it with something positive. You can think of this as filling the empty space we just cleared out. We don’t want to leave the subconscious mind up to its own devices, because God only knows what kind of junk it would put in its place. Instead, we give clear instructions. For example, if we removed scarcity going back 11 generations on your mother’s side, we’d replace it with wholeness. If we removed control going back 3 generations on your father’s side, we’d replace it with security.

The session closes with an integration of new positive beliefs and I send you on your merry way with a copy of the recording. What happens next is the fun part. For women, changes start happening almost immediately. Men tend to take a bit longer because their logical mind often gets in the way. The shifts don’t always show up in a typical fashion or on a silver platter. It’s much more nuanced than that. Suddenly, the right things, people, and ideas start to manifest. Opportunities sprout as if out of nowhere. Your mindset shifts, along with the way you approach problems, solutions, and your to-do lists. Everything just gets… easier, and life becomes more fun. Because you’ve moved into alignment!

⚡️ Week of May 7th Energy Update:

🌗 Last Quarter Moon in Aquarius on Sat, May 9

This is a release point in the lunar cycle, where the Universe stops asking and starts deciding for you. Lately it feels like timelines are collapsing at an alarming rate, so may hit extra hard this week. Whatever version of you has been seeking approval or shrinking to keep the peace is being released. Aquarius is asking you, where have you been abandoning yourself?

The 9th is also a Saturn day, which makes this one of the most auspicious days of the week for cord cutting, banishing, or any “I’m so done with this/you” rituals.

🪄 Alchemize the Energy: Easy Banishing Ritual

Ideally done on Saturday, May 9 during the Last Quarter Moon (when she’s half illuminated and at a 90 degree angle to the sun). Last Quarter Moons are considered the peak release point of the waning moon phase (which we’re in until the 16th), making this the perfect time to banish, cleanse, and let go of whatever’s no longer serving you.

You’ll need:

• a black candle

• uncrossing oil (olive oil also works here)

• pencil and parchment paper

• dragon’s blood incense

• fireproof bowl, plate, or jar

Instructions:

Light the incense to clean yourself and your space. Put on some high vibrational music and meditate on what you would like to banish. This is also the time to invoke any beings or deities for additional help.

Anoint your candle with the oil, rubbing it from the wick downward to push the energy away from you. I also like to include herbs such as

Rosemary – A powerful purifier that clears emotional burdens and stagnant energy.

Sage – Clears away unwanted energies, making room for renewal and fresh beginnings.

Lemongrass – Known for cutting through emotional clutter and promoting clarity

Bay Leaf – Symbolizes victory over obstacles and is often burned to remove negativity

Now write a list or journal on what you would like to banish ending with “for my highest and best good, harming none.” Then read it out loud (with conviction) and fold the paper away from you.

Then burn the paper in the candle flame and drop it into the bowl. Now give thanks and let the candle burn all the way down. If you’re short on time, tea lights are a great alternative to chime candles as they burn a lot faster and are a great vessel for the herbs.

💁‍♀️ Story Time:

There’s something really fun about hanging with the underbelly of society. And I’ve had my fare share. Hanging out taco bell parking lots, after hours hotel parties, in the middle of a field or barn party, basically any place that would allow a bunch of miscreants to mill about.

When I was 20 I started hanging out regularly at a pool hall. A group of girlfriends and I went to Manny’s Billiards for Ladies Night when I caught the eye of the manager. He would later become my boyfriend and the first man I’d ever fall in love with. But after 5.5 years we fell apart. Religion drove a huge wedge in our relationship, because I wasn’t muslim and had no plans of ever converting.

His parents wanted him to marry a women of the same religion and ethnicity. I was no stranger to these expectations. When my parents first started dating it took my dad 2 years to introduce my mom to the family, because she wasn’t Greek Orthodox. While Italian Catholic was close, it wasn’t close enough. But one day it all changed and not only was my mom was fully accepted into the family, she became the favorite.

I can’t even begin to tell you how many hours I spent at that place and that’s because pool halls are FULL of characters. Each one’s more colorful than the next, but what they all have in common is that they’re a bunch of degenerates. Degens are always hungry for a little action, acting impulsively despite possible consequences, with a living for today, not for tomorrow kind of attitude.

I’ve seen guys spend HOURS doing the wildest things all for a bet. Each bet would be more ridiculous than the next. Coin tosses for $50 a flip, let’s go. Foot races in the parking lot. Any and all card games, billiard games, foosball games, and let’s not forget good old fashioned street racing. Basically anything that could be turned into a competition.

The thing about gamblers is that it’s never really about the money. Sure hitting big is fun, but what they’re really after is the action. The chase of being down and getting back up. That feeling of walking in with only $100 in your pocket and leaving with a $1000.

I honestly think a big part of the allure is the banter before a game is executed. It’s the measurement of a person’s ability to bluff, bullshit, or convince another party and actually get away with it.

Just because they’re degenerates doesn’t mean they don’t have a certain code of conduct or ethics they live by. For example, It’s bad sportsmanship to win and leave. You should always give the other party a chance to win their money back.

My favorite thing about gamblers are just how destructive they are. They will literally blow up their lives for a bet. Driven by pure ego and irrationality, despite the consequences. They will lie, steal, and cheat their way to winning all in the a name of the game. Then throw it in your face and apologize later.

When you spend a lot of time in a pool hall high-risk behavior starts to become the normal. Things that once shocked you are somehow justified. It’s a slow acclimation and once you’re get to this point, nothing seems too out of pocket, because you’ve entered the mind of an addict.

After a while it became common place to hear that someone won or lost $25k in an hour. Or that someone had been pushed down a flight of stairs by a mafiosa because he was down $100k. Instead of shock and awe, it became oh of course that happened to so-and-so. Like the one guy who slept under table #9, so he wouldn’t miss a game with you-know-who. Ngl this one neverrr made sense to me. Go home ya fucking loser!

Another byproduct of spending so much time in a pool hall is that you start to get really good at playing games. Because, there’s not much else to do. I quickly became my boyfriends number one student, excelling in foosball (I only like playing a tournament table) and 9 ball (preferably on a bar box). He treated me like a prodige. We spent countless hours knocking in shots, doing drills, and analyzing players.

And I got really, really good.

What can I say, I have an eye for getting small balls in holes. It got to the point that my boyfriend would start bringing me to other pool halls. He wanted to play doubles, because I was what they would call a sleeper. And I would play as long as I didn’t have to put any money up (which was not a problem as he had what felt like an unliminited supply of funds). You see, I don’t like gambling, but I loveee winning.

🪄 Alchemize the Energy: Hidden Truth + Water Release Ritual

The Scorpio Full Moon is here to help you face your truth and set yourself free from it.

Because Scorpio is a Water sign, begin by cleansing your energy with Moon Water, taking a salt bath, or mopping your space with a few drops of salt water and stating:

“I prepare myself to face my truth with honesty and with courage.”

On a piece of paper draw two lines down the length of your paper, sectioning it off into three columns with the following headers: Truth, Acknowledge, and Release. Now allow yourself to drop into complete honesty, without self-judgment and write down 5 truths in the first column. Here are some questions to help get you started:

When did I act from anger, ego, or fear? Where am I performing instead of feeling? What am I holding onto because letting go feels scarier than staying stuck?

Now acknowledge each truth in the second column and write a release statement in the third.

Ex: I treated someone I care about poorly. I take full responsibility for my actions and understand that I was projecting. I now release my guilt and choose to learn and grow from this.

Take a bowl of clean water and add a few drops off Moon Water (if you have it), then place your right hand (your releasing hand) gently into the water as you start reading what you have written out loud.

As you read each truth, feel it moving out of you, through your hand, into the water. The water is receiving and taking it from you. When finished tear the paper slowly to pieces and dispose of it completely.

Once you have finished reading, gently pick up your paper. Then say aoud:

“I have acknowledged my truth. I release this guilt and this emotional weight. I allow transformation to begin within me.”

Pour the water down the sink or flush it. Your release is done.1

Last Friday I had a healing with my Marketing Consultant Nicole. Her sweet Grandmother Mitzi passed away recently and the funeral was scheduled for the following day. During our session I guess I’d told her (I usually don’t remember what’s being said when I’m channeling), “your Grandmother’s going to talk to you though sound or music”.

Well it so happens that at the funeral her Uncle decided to play some old recordings of Mitzi singing. If that wasn’t special enough, one of the songs he played was about following your dreams called Climb Every Mountain, from The Sound of Music!

And if that wasn’t special enough, at some point after the funeral Nicole decided to drive to her Grandmother’s house and saw a beautiful cluster of irises blooming, that she hadn’t noticed before. Why is this significant? Because that’s the name of Nicole’s new, budding business is Iris!

Healing not only removes blocks and dissolves emotional wounds, but it also provides comfort in ways we never expect 🤍

💁‍♀️ Story Time: The Time I Got Roofied

Back in 2015 I was joining all the leagues I could, because well… I’m an athlete. I was a regular at softball, dodgeball, and kickball. So when my friend’s boyfriend invited me to his Tuesday night skeeball league, I had to say yes. Yes, you read that right, skeeball, the arcade game with the balls and holes. And it was really fun.

Insider tip: to increase your chances of scoring the center points, roll your ball against the side wall of the ramp. You’re welcome.

As a self-proclaimed athlete [hair toss], I of course found myself on the winning team. Our prize for being the best? Free drinks in Wrigleyville!

Our celebration was one of those special nights where the vibe was immaculate. My friends were so happy, floating around like social butterflies, and I remember thinking, what a great night, when I caught the eye of a cute guy at the end of the bar.

He kept motioning for me to come over. This should have been my first red flag. I refused to leave my spot (and chase a man, please), so I motioned back, no you come here. Which he unfortunately did.

We start chatting about God knows what, and pretty quickly he asks for my number, which I happily obliged. At the time I would have given my number to anyone. As opposed to now, when I simply say “no.” accompanied with a charming smile of course. I used to feel like I had to make up some elaborate excuse or invent a fake relationship just to politely decline, but now I just decline.

At some point I must have looked away or left my drink. Knowing me, I suspect I put a napkin over my beverage of choice and asked him to watch it while I went to the bathroom. Which is the literal opposite of what you’re supposed to do. I basically set my attacker up for success. “Hey bud, I’m going to go to the bathroom, could you put a roofie or two in my drink while I’m gone? Thanksss.”

Speaking of roofying someone, I once asked Horace Grant and Bill Wellington how many roofies they thought it would take to put them under, and now it’s our inside joke. Now whenever I see either of them I pretend to sprinkle drugs into my drink, lololol, and they always remember me.

It wasn’t long after meeting this guy that I started to feel weird. Something was NOT right. I noticed my speech begin to slur. My cognitive function was on the decline, and quick! I was suddenly really drunk, which made no sense because I’d only had two drinks.

I’m no stranger to drugs and I knew I needed to leave pronto. This was back when you could hail a cab, so I told my friends I was going home and booked it out of there before I lost control of my legs. As soon as I got in the cab I could feel myself losing it.

I’ve never blacked out before, but I imagine this is what it must be like. Bits and pieces of my memory started to short circuit. My vision was getting fuzzy and everything was moving in slow motion, including my thoughts. I immediately told the driver, “I think I was roofied!” Then texted the doorman of my building. Or should I say attempted to.

What came through were a string of incomprehensible words and letters. The doorman ended up calling, but I could no longer remember how to form words. Apparently I shoved my phone into the drivers face between moments of consciousness, and together those two angels got me home and into my apartment.

Around 3 AM I woke up in bed, fully clothed to a phone ringing. IT WAS THE GUY. Or should I say, that fucking loser. He was asking if he could come over. He’d been calling me over and over, something like fifteen missed calls. I kept telling him no, and I can still hear him being so incredibly insistent about bringing over pancakes. No, I don’t want your roofiecakes!

Roof·ie·cakes | /ˈro͞ofēˌkāks/ | noun, plural

1. A suspicious breakfast item served with a side of “extreme caution.” These are pancakes offered by someone who has already proven themselves to be a pharmacological menace, leading the recipient to assume the batter is 40% flour and 60% sedative.

2. The ultimate “Trojan Horse” of the brunch world; a short stack that looks like comfort food but feels like a police report.

3. A culinary red flag often served with maple syrup and a lingering sense of impending doom.

I stripped off my clothes and shoes (because I was also still in strappy platforms) then passed back out. The next morning I was hit by a truck. It was the worst hangover of my life and it lasted all day long. Talk about adding insult to injury. Not only are you going to get roofied and potentially raped, but now you’re going to feel like absolute shit for the next twenty-four hours.

It felt like a fever dream and it wasn’t until late in the afternoon the following day that I even recalled that creep calling me in the middle of the night. I immediately blocked him and said a prayer to my guardian angels, then called the doorman to thank him. I’ve had so many instances like this in my life. So many close calls to tragedy, only to be guided home to safety in the final hour.

Also, wtf is wrong with some people. I can’t help but wonder what happened to that guy that he’d rather drug a girl and have his way with a corpse. What kind of messed up childhood does one have to have in order to breed such a monster. This is why I always say, men are women’s biggest predators. Because a woman would never.

My Tips for Dealing With Anxiety

As someone who’s dealt with anxiety in the past, the last thing I ever wanted to hear from someone was that I needed to calm down or that “it’s all in your head”. I KNOW IT’S IN MY HEAD, that’s the problem! Here are some tips for how I dealt with anxiety, which were far more effective than hibernating, crying, and/or ruminating.

• Drop into your body. Press your feet into the floor, feel the chair holding you up, and name three things you can physically feel right now. This is the fastest way to get out of your mind and back into your body/the present moment.

• Lengthen your exhale. Breathe in for 4 and out for 7. The exhale is what tells your nervous system you’re safe. If you’re hyperventilating, don’t try to take a “deep breath”, instead go for a longer one out first.

• Cold water on the wrists or face. Sounds simple, but it works by activating your vagus nerve, which pulls your system out of fight-or-flight in seconds.

• Hum, sigh, or sing. Anything that vibrates your throat stimulates the vagus nerve. Even a long, audible exhale counts.

• Move the energy through you, not against you. Anxiety is energy that wants to move, so shake your hands, walk in a circle, dance for 30 seconds, sob if you need to. Don’t bottle it, because the wave only stays stuck when you fight it.

• Don't believe everything your anxious mind tells you. Anxiety is a really persuasive narrator with a cruel, tiny vocabulary. The story it's telling you right now is NOT the truth, it's just a survival response with a very loud microphone.

Save this one. You might not need it today, but the moment you do, you don’t want to be searching for it.

IMO misery loves company, so if it makes you feel any better, I have MAJOR anxiety whenever I got to the dentist. I cry every time1
