Well, probably because it terrifies my born again Christian Mother. But ya girl’s no longer afraid to be herself and scream it from the rooftops. Wow it feels so good to admit that out loud with no shame! It’s like a weight lifted off my chest. I’ve been living in the spiritual closet for so long, denying my true self because I didn’t want to make my mom uncomfortable, but the truth is she’s never going to be happy, let alone comfortable with my line of work, so why would I keep trying. Maybe someone should send her this article? To be clear, that was just a joke. Don’t even think about it. We’re not trying to give Kathy a heart attack.

Before covid (does anyone else do this? It low key reminds me of BC-AD, making covid the modern day time marker) I started seeing a healer, Lisa Thomas, to help me process the grief of my father’s sudden death, understand the root cause of my cancer diagnosis, and heal from a traumatic incident that happened around age 11. In our sessions, she kept telling me I was going to be a great healer one day. I’d already been hearing this for sometime: you have healing hands. But in true Christina fashion, I brushed it off as nothing and assumed people were just being nice to me. (This is also inclination I have when I get hit on lol)

At some point Lisa started promoting the Soul Awakening Method, a program developed to teach others her exact methodology. Every time I thought about joining I’d burst into tears. My nervous system was a wreck. My desire to learn was aggressively overshadowed by negative self doubt and crippling imposter syndrome. Who am I to think I could heal people? I’m not a healer, I’m a party girl. No one in their right mind will ever take me seriously in this profession, I’m Hungover Barbie.

But I couldn’t stop thinking about it. And now Lisa was pushing: “I really think you should consider joining.” Like most things that are good for me, I had a million excuses. I was grasping at straws, looking for any reason NOT to believe in myself, because that was just too scary.

What if I joined and found out I couldn’t actually do it? What if my suspicions were right, and I was a fraud? What if the thing that had been lighting my heart up with so much joy was a false sense of security? I’d spent so much of my life living in disappointment, and I couldn’t fathom the idea of adding something I actually wanted to the list.

That’s when destiny swept in to help. My sweet mentor believed in me and helped me get out of my own way. It’s amazing how the Universe works. When you need something it will always show up for you at the 11th hour. I say this a lot in my healings: the Universe doesn’t hoard resources. Instead, they show up just when you need them, like in nature.

If you’ve ever done a 1:1 healing with me, you’re familiar with this method (which is completely different from my recordings). We start by getting energetically connected and then I ask your body a series of questions to pinpoint the root of your emotional pain or trauma. Most of the time, the emotions we’re holding onto have been inherited and passed down through the DNA, a phenomenon now backed by the study of epigenetics. That’s why it can feel impossible to move past certain thought loops or behaviors. The emotions you’re feeling aren’t actually yours to being with. Then, voila, I do an energetic clean sweep and remove the emotional block.

I know what you’re thinking. BUT HOW? Tbh I don’t know how. I mean I know, but I don’t know know. When releasing an emotion, I wave one of my hands over the governing meridian, the energy center located at the top of the head. The motion is very distracting to watch, which is why I always turn the camera off. Nobody needs to watch me sweeping my arm back and forth for an hour. Because we’re energetically connect, I’m tapped into your energy and able to shoo the negative emotions away.

Of course there’s a lot more to it than this, but this is the the most dumbed down, simplified explanation I could come up with. After we remove a negative emotion, we replace it with something positive. You can think of this as filling the empty space we just cleared out. We don’t want to leave the subconscious mind up to its own devices, because God only knows what kind of junk it would put in its place. Instead, we give clear instructions. For example, if we removed scarcity going back 11 generations on your mother’s side, we’d replace it with wholeness. If we removed control going back 3 generations on your father’s side, we’d replace it with security.

The session closes with an integration of new positive beliefs and I send you on your merry way with a copy of the recording. What happens next is the fun part. For women, changes start happening almost immediately. Men tend to take a bit longer because their logical mind often gets in the way. The shifts don’t always show up in a typical fashion or on a silver platter. It’s much more nuanced than that. Suddenly, the right things, people, and ideas start to manifest. Opportunities sprout as if out of nowhere. Your mindset shifts, along with the way you approach problems, solutions, and your to-do lists. Everything just gets… easier, and life becomes more fun. Because you’ve moved into alignment!

🌗 Last Quarter Moon in Aquarius on Sat, May 9

This is a release point in the lunar cycle, where the Universe stops asking and starts deciding for you. 🪄 Alchemize the Energy: Easy Banishing Ritual

Ideally done on Saturday, May 9 during the Last Quarter Moon (when she’s half illuminated and at a 90 degree angle to the sun). Last Quarter Moons are considered the peak release point of the waning moon phase (which we’re in until the 16th), making this the perfect time to banish, cleanse, and let go of whatever’s no longer serving you.

You’ll need:

• a black candle

• uncrossing oil (olive oil also works here)

• pencil and parchment paper

• dragon’s blood incense

• fireproof bowl, plate, or jar

Instructions:

Light the incense to clean yourself and your space. Put on some high vibrational music and meditate on what you would like to banish. This is also the time to invoke any beings or deities for additional help.

Anoint your candle with the oil, rubbing it from the wick downward to push the energy away from you. I also like to include herbs such as

Rosemary – A powerful purifier that clears emotional burdens and stagnant energy.

Sage – Clears away unwanted energies, making room for renewal and fresh beginnings.

Lemongrass – Known for cutting through emotional clutter and promoting clarity

Bay Leaf – Symbolizes victory over obstacles and is often burned to remove negativity

Now write a list or journal on what you would like to banish ending with “for my highest and best good, harming none.” Then read it out loud (with conviction) and fold the paper away from you.

Then burn the paper in the candle flame and drop it into the bowl. Now give thanks and let the candle burn all the way down. If you’re short on time, tea lights are a great alternative to chime candles as they burn a lot faster and are a great vessel for the herbs.

💁‍♀️ Story Time:

There’s something really fun about hanging with the underbelly of society. And I’ve had my fare share. Hanging out taco bell parking lots, after hours hotel parties, in the middle of a field or barn party, basically any place that would allow a bunch of miscreants to mill about.

When I was 20 I started hanging out regularly at a pool hall. A group of girlfriends and I went to Manny’s Billiards for Ladies Night when I caught the eye of the manager. He would later become my boyfriend and the first man I’d ever fall in love with. But after 5.5 years we fell apart. Religion drove a huge wedge in our relationship, because I wasn’t muslim and had no plans of ever converting.

His parents wanted him to marry a women of the same religion and ethnicity. I was no stranger to these expectations. When my parents first started dating it took my dad 2 years to introduce my mom to the family, because she wasn’t Greek Orthodox. While Italian Catholic was close, it wasn’t close enough. But one day it all changed and not only was my mom was fully accepted into the family, she became the favorite.

I can’t even begin to tell you how many hours I spent at that place and that’s because pool halls are FULL of characters. Each one’s more colorful than the next, but what they all have in common is that they’re a bunch of degenerates. Degens are always hungry for a little action, acting impulsively despite possible consequences, with a living for today, not for tomorrow kind of attitude.

I’ve seen guys spend HOURS doing the wildest things all for a bet. Each bet would be more ridiculous than the next. Coin tosses for $50 a flip, let’s go. Foot races in the parking lot. Any and all card games, billiard games, foosball games, and let’s not forget good old fashioned street racing. Basically anything that could be turned into a competition.

The thing about gamblers is that it’s never really about the money. Sure hitting big is fun, but what they’re really after is the action. The chase of being down and getting back up. That feeling of walking in with only $100 in your pocket and leaving with a $1000.

I honestly think a big part of the allure is the banter before a game is executed. It’s the measurement of a person’s ability to bluff, bullshit, or convince another party and actually get away with it.

Just because they’re degenerates doesn’t mean they don’t have a certain code of conduct or ethics they live by. For example, It’s bad sportsmanship to win and leave. You should always give the other party a chance to win their money back.

My favorite thing about gamblers are just how destructive they are. They will literally blow up their lives for a bet. Driven by pure ego and irrationality, despite the consequences. They will lie, steal, and cheat their way to winning all in the a name of the game. Then throw it in your face and apologize later.

When you spend a lot of time in a pool hall high-risk behavior starts to become the normal. Things that once shocked you are somehow justified. It’s a slow acclimation and once you’re get to this point, nothing seems too out of pocket, because you’ve entered the mind of an addict.

After a while it became common place to hear that someone won or lost $25k in an hour. Or that someone had been pushed down a flight of stairs by a mafiosa because he was down $100k. Instead of shock and awe, it became oh of course that happened to so-and-so. Like the one guy who slept under table #9, so he wouldn’t miss a game with you-know-who. Ngl this one neverrr made sense to me. Go home ya fucking loser!

Another byproduct of spending so much time in a pool hall is that you start to get really good at playing games. Because, there’s not much else to do. I quickly became my boyfriends number one student, excelling in foosball (I only like playing a tournament table) and 9 ball (preferably on a bar box). He treated me like a prodige. We spent countless hours knocking in shots, doing drills, and analyzing players.

And I got really, really good.

What can I say, I have an eye for getting small balls in holes. It got to the point that my boyfriend would start bringing me to other pool halls. He wanted to play doubles, because I was what they would call a sleeper. And I would play as long as I didn’t have to put any money up (which was not a problem as he had what felt like an unliminited supply of funds). You see, I don’t like gambling, but I loveee winning.

🪄 Alchemize the Energy: Hidden Truth + Water Release Ritual

The Scorpio Full Moon is here to help you face your truth and set yourself free from it.

Because Scorpio is a Water sign, begin by cleansing your energy with Moon Water, taking a salt bath, or mopping your space with a few drops of salt water and stating:

“I prepare myself to face my truth with honesty and with courage.”

On a piece of paper draw two lines down the length of your paper, sectioning it off into three columns with the following headers: Truth, Acknowledge, and Release. Now allow yourself to drop into complete honesty, without self-judgment and write down 5 truths in the first column. Here are some questions to help get you started:

When did I act from anger, ego, or fear? Where am I performing instead of feeling? What am I holding onto because letting go feels scarier than staying stuck?

Now acknowledge each truth in the second column and write a release statement in the third.

Ex: I treated someone I care about poorly. I take full responsibility for my actions and understand that I was projecting. I now release my guilt and choose to learn and grow from this.

Take a bowl of clean water and add a few drops off Moon Water (if you have it), then place your right hand (your releasing hand) gently into the water as you start reading what you have written out loud.

As you read each truth, feel it moving out of you, through your hand, into the water. The water is receiving and taking it from you. When finished tear the paper slowly to pieces and dispose of it completely.

Once you have finished reading, gently pick up your paper. Then say aoud:

“I have acknowledged my truth. I release this guilt and this emotional weight. I allow transformation to begin within me.”

Pour the water down the sink or flush it. Your release is done.1

New favorite story! You may have already heard me talk about this on Tiktok.

Last Friday I had a healing with my Marketing Consultant Nicole. Her sweet Grandmother Mitzi passed away recently and the funeral was scheduled for the following day. During our session I guess I’d told her (I usually don’t remember what’s being said when I’m channeling), “your Grandmother’s going to talk to you though sound or music”.

Well it so happens that at the funeral her Uncle decided to play some old recordings of Mitzi singing. If that wasn’t special enough, one of the songs he played was about following your dreams called Climb Every Mountain, from The Sound of Music!

And if that wasn’t special enough, at some point after the funeral Nicole decided to drive to her Grandmother’s house and saw a beautiful cluster of irises blooming, that she hadn’t noticed before. Why is this significant? Because that’s the name of Nicole’s new, budding business is Iris!

Healing not only removes blocks and dissolves emotional wounds, but it also provides comfort in ways we never expect 🤍

💁‍♀️ Story Time: The Time I Got Roofied

Back in 2015 I was joining all the leagues I could, because well… I’m an athlete. I was a regular at softball, dodgeball, and kickball. So when my friend’s boyfriend invited me to his Tuesday night skeeball league, I had to say yes. Yes, you read that right, skeeball, the arcade game with the balls and holes. And it was really fun.

Insider tip: to increase your chances of scoring the center points, roll your ball against the side wall of the ramp. You’re welcome.

As a self-proclaimed athlete [hair toss], I of course found myself on the winning team. Our prize for being the best? Free drinks in Wrigleyville!

Our celebration was one of those special nights where the vibe was immaculate. My friends were so happy, floating around like social butterflies, and I remember thinking, what a great night, when I caught the eye of a cute guy at the end of the bar.

He kept motioning for me to come over. This should have been my first red flag. I refused to leave my spot (and chase a man, please), so I motioned back, no you come here. Which he unfortunately did.

We start chatting about God knows what, and pretty quickly he asks for my number, which I happily obliged. At the time I would have given my number to anyone. As opposed to now, when I simply say “no.” accompanied with a charming smile of course. I used to feel like I had to make up some elaborate excuse or invent a fake relationship just to politely decline, but now I just decline.

At some point I must have looked away or left my drink. Knowing me, I suspect I put a napkin over my beverage of choice and asked him to watch it while I went to the bathroom. Which is the literal opposite of what you’re supposed to do. I basically set my attacker up for success. “Hey bud, I’m going to go to the bathroom, could you put a roofie or two in my drink while I’m gone? Thanksss.”

Speaking of roofying someone, I once asked Horace Grant and Bill Wellington how many roofies they thought it would take to put them under, and now it’s our inside joke. Now whenever I see either of them I pretend to sprinkle drugs into my drink, lololol, and they always remember me.

It wasn’t long after meeting this guy that I started to feel weird. Something was NOT right. I noticed my speech begin to slur. My cognitive function was on the decline, and quick! I was suddenly really drunk, which made no sense because I’d only had two drinks.

I’m no stranger to drugs and I knew I needed to leave pronto. This was back when you could hail a cab, so I told my friends I was going home and booked it out of there before I lost control of my legs. As soon as I got in the cab I could feel myself losing it.

I’ve never blacked out before, but I imagine this is what it must be like. Bits and pieces of my memory started to short circuit. My vision was getting fuzzy and everything was moving in slow motion, including my thoughts. I immediately told the driver, “I think I was roofied!” Then texted the doorman of my building. Or should I say attempted to.

What came through were a string of incomprehensible words and letters. The doorman ended up calling, but I could no longer remember how to form words. Apparently I shoved my phone into the drivers face between moments of consciousness, and together those two angels got me home and into my apartment.

Around 3 AM I woke up in bed, fully clothed to a phone ringing. IT WAS THE GUY. Or should I say, that fucking loser. He was asking if he could come over. He’d been calling me over and over, something like fifteen missed calls. I kept telling him no, and I can still hear him being so incredibly insistent about bringing over pancakes. No, I don’t want your roofiecakes!

Roof·ie·cakes | /ˈro͞ofēˌkāks/ | noun, plural

1. A suspicious breakfast item served with a side of “extreme caution.” These are pancakes offered by someone who has already proven themselves to be a pharmacological menace, leading the recipient to assume the batter is 40% flour and 60% sedative.

2. The ultimate “Trojan Horse” of the brunch world; a short stack that looks like comfort food but feels like a police report.

3. A culinary red flag often served with maple syrup and a lingering sense of impending doom.

I stripped off my clothes and shoes (because I was also still in strappy platforms) then passed back out. The next morning I was hit by a truck. It was the worst hangover of my life and it lasted all day long. Talk about adding insult to injury. Not only are you going to get roofied and potentially raped, but now you’re going to feel like absolute shit for the next twenty-four hours.

It felt like a fever dream and it wasn’t until late in the afternoon the following day that I even recalled that creep calling me in the middle of the night. I immediately blocked him and said a prayer to my guardian angels, then called the doorman to thank him. I’ve had so many instances like this in my life. So many close calls to tragedy, only to be guided home to safety in the final hour.

Also, wtf is wrong with some people. I can’t help but wonder what happened to that guy that he’d rather drug a girl and have his way with a corpse. What kind of messed up childhood does one have to have in order to breed such a monster. This is why I always say, men are women’s biggest predators. Because a woman would never.

My Tips for Dealing With Anxiety

As someone who’s dealt with anxiety in the past, the last thing I ever wanted to hear from someone was that I needed to calm down or that “it’s all in your head”. I KNOW IT’S IN MY HEAD, that’s the problem! Here are some tips for how I dealt with anxiety, which were far more effective than hibernating, crying, and/or ruminating.

• Drop into your body. Press your feet into the floor, feel the chair holding you up, and name three things you can physically feel right now. This is the fastest way to get out of your mind and back into your body/the present moment.

• Lengthen your exhale. Breathe in for 4 and out for 7. The exhale is what tells your nervous system you’re safe. If you’re hyperventilating, don’t try to take a “deep breath”, instead go for a longer one out first.

• Cold water on the wrists or face. Sounds simple, but it works by activating your vagus nerve, which pulls your system out of fight-or-flight in seconds.

• Hum, sigh, or sing. Anything that vibrates your throat stimulates the vagus nerve. Even a long, audible exhale counts.

• Move the energy through you, not against you. Anxiety is energy that wants to move, so shake your hands, walk in a circle, dance for 30 seconds, sob if you need to. Don’t bottle it, because the wave only stays stuck when you fight it.

• Don't believe everything your anxious mind tells you. Anxiety is a really persuasive narrator with a cruel, tiny vocabulary. The story it's telling you right now is NOT the truth, it's just a survival response with a very loud microphone.

Save this one. You might not need it today, but the moment you do, you don’t want to be searching for it.

IMO misery loves company, so if it makes you feel any better, I have MAJOR anxiety whenever I got to the dentist. I cry every time1

I want to make a few amendments to 04.09’s Money Bowl post. If you made a money bowl there are a few things you should know…

Tend to it weekly, not just by adding a grain of rice or stirring it, but by adding in and taking away actual money. Have an extra $20? Fold it toward you and add it to your bowl. Next week, take it out and replace it with something else. It’s about the flow of money. Money comes and goes as we earn and spend, and so should your money bowl. It shows faith in the process and aligns with the natural movement of money.

As money goes out, show gratitude for what it allowed you to do and as more comes into your life, give thanks. Leaning into the circulation, will not only keep your bowl alive, but also contribute to flow in which you’re trying to cultivate.

💁‍♀️ Story Time:

How TF are you supposed to trust yourself when your track record is anything less than perfect? And yes, I’m talking about men and relationships today. Let’s take a look:

First, there was Jeremy. I loveedddd him, but he was covered in tattoos and worked as a piercer/tattoo artist—a big no-no in my Greek/Italian household. Every day I would come home and my mom would check to see if I’d ‘gotten any ink’. We had amazing chemistry, and while we always stayed in touch, with a promise of one day, he… died. (I know, it’s not funny, but why did I giggle when I typed that!) Pretty sure he set the precedent for my attraction to average looking beef cakes with beards and tattoos (in case you were wondering about my origin story).

My Muslim boyfriend entered around 2003/4 and remains my longest relationship to date. Everyone loved him and does to this day. How do I know? Because one of my best friends still hangs out with him. My mom will randomly say “I miss xxx!” to which I usually reply, “then you should date him”. But after almost six years together I was done. I’d only met his family ONCE as they found our relationship unacceptable. He told me time and time again that he was protecting me from his family, because in no way would they support him dating a Christian girl. Apparently, after our breakup, his mom said, “I see how sad you are, you can marry her now.” TOO LATE LADY.

After that, I had no interest in a boyfriend. I craved big city lights and late nights out, which is when my first sneaky link entered the chat. The sex was good, and after six months it started to morph into a bit of a relationship. That is, until we got snowed in together for two or three days and parted ways for good.

Which made me realize: I did want a relationship. There I was late, the Coach House in Schaumburg, when a handsome Greek man approached me. By 4 AM he was offering to drive me home. My friends convinced me I’d be fine since they’d taken a blurry photo of his driver’s license—that way, if anything happened, at least they’d know who my murderer was. We made out in my parents’ driveway until the sun came up on Thanksgiving morning. I thought, ‘this is it!’ I’ve finally met someone with the same culture and religion as me. I was convinced this was my future husband.

Spoiler: I did not marry this man. Why, you ask? Well, he was a total grump AND couldn’t get it up. It’s a tale of correlation and causation. He wasn’t taking care of his mental health, which mean his body wasn’t cooperating. And I, being the caring, understanding girlfriend (aka doormat) that I was, wanted to help and support him through it.

There was a point where this was all I could talk about. IT literally became a full-time job and fully DICKtated our relationship. We (ahem, I) had to create the perfect conditions by setting the mood, putting on a video he liked, and contorting my body into weird positions, without a single break in movement or character, lest it all fall apart. All so I could stare at the bedside clock and count the minutes that had passed by, hoping and praying it would be over soon.

Recounting stories of this torturous cardio to my friends was the only joy I had left. If I didn’t laugh about it, I would cry, which is exactly why it had to end. My calf and forearm muscles were working overtime.

After I ended things, I turned my energy inward and really started to focus on myself. I had always been on a spiritual journey studying religion, metaphysics, and the world of esotericism, all while searching for the meaning of life. During this time I found forgiveness for someone who had hurt me in ways I didn’t think were forgivable, and with that, I started to transform.

I started showing up for myself in ways I’d never done before. Weight melted off my body and I started working out. I was making better choices and honoring my needs. For the first time in a long time, maybe ever, I found love for myself. I know it may sound crazy, but when you hate yourself or think you’re unworthy, it impacts everything you do and every decision you make. You give bits and pieces of yourself away to everyone else around you, until there’s nothing left. Until you become a shell of a person.

I was in such a happy, confident space, that I ended up approaching another Greek in 2016. He was great, except for the fact that he was horrible with money and had no drive (lol). I really know how to pick ‘em, right?! I thought, another Greek. This time, must be THE time, I just have to help him. News flash: no one should ever think they can fix someone. It’s not your project to take on. It only breeds resentment from both side. Word on the street is, nothing much has changed. Another bullet dodged.

At this point I was done. No more boyfriends. I needed a break. So I poured back into myself. I started traveling more, spending time with people who lifted me up, and even enrolled in my first healing course. For years, I’d been told I was destined to be a great healer, but I’d never fully believed it. ME? The party girl who can’t find a husband was destined be a great healer?

That’s when I started having THE BEST sex of my life! Probably because that’s exactly what it was: just sex. And since we were just having fun, there was no pressure to show up, perform, or fix anything. It was the first time in my life that I’d really just enjoyed a no-strings-attached relationship. Well, that was until I said those three little words, while straddling and gazing deep into his eyes. Somehow, I’d fallen in love with my sneaky link.

(slang) a person with whom one has a secret or undisclosed sexual or romantic encounter.

This, was NOT supposed to happen. In no world were we meant to be together, but the sex was unlike anything I’d ever (have ever) experienced. So we kept going back and it kept getting more tangled. Now feelings were involved, which added a level of complication neither of us ever expected. It made me realize just how primal we are as a species. If the sex is good enough, it’ll make you do crazy things… like texting him a few months ago to see if he wanted to start hooking up again 🙃 And then questioning if he’s the person I was meant to be with all along. (Don’t judge me! Plus, he said no).

While we were going through this on-again-off-again sex-capade, because now he wanted a relationship and I didn’t, I started see that Clown Baby I’d told you about. And shit got messyyyyy. I was still having sex with the best sex of my life while going out on dates with the clown, when TBSOML saw a text from the clown and everything blew up.

This is exactly why I don’t lie or keep secrets anymore. It doesn’t serve anyone and makes every situation infinitely more complicated than it needs to be! Did the clown find out? No. Was I ever going to tell him? Also, no. That is, unless he stalks this blog, which I suspect he might.

Hope you enjoyed this comprehensive list of all my ex boyfriends, that you didn’t ask for. I spent at least a year dating and eventually breaking up with all of these me. Throughout all of it, I’ve had the words of my mother ringing in my ears: “Why can’t you just find someone?” “Maybe you’re just too picky.” “Why is it so hard?” Hmm, well, maybe because it’s taken me 40 years to finally know my worth. Through when I look back I’m reminded that on some level I did know my worth.

Which leads me to my original question, how tf do I know I can trust myself? Because I’ve done the work, self-reflection, and healing. I love myself more than any man ever will! And I’m so happy being alone, that someone has to add to it.

🪄 Alchemize the Energy: Intention Setting + Affirmation

It’s the perfect day to make the Money Bowl from last week’s blog!

You'll Need: 2 pieces of paper, a pen, + something to stick it to your mirror

The Ritual: Start by putting on some high vibrational music. Take a few deep breaths and let yourself arrive in the moment. Now write down 5 things you want to call in. It’s important you don’t over thing this step. Write what you actually want, big or small. Now read back through your list and circle the one that feels most alive. Go for the one that makes you feel a little nervous, yet excited.

Now write down 3 real, actionable steps you can take over the next month that would move you towards it. It’s important to no over compliment this step. Think about what’s actually attainable. Maybe it’s posting a video, making a phone call, or setting time aside to research a class or project you’ve been thinking about. Remember, small steps allow for big action. The place the paper somewhere you’ll see it (such as your alter, desk, or nightstand).

On the second piece of paper, write yourself a loving affirmation in the present tense. Something that the bravest version of you already knows to be true. Stick this on your bathroom mirror and leave it there until the Aries Full Moon on September 26th. Close by taking one more deep breath and stating out loud: I am ready!

💁‍♀️ Story Time:

When I was super fat, I didn’t know I was fat, which I know sounds crazyyyy. It’s hard to explain, but when I moved my body it just felt normal. Now don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t in denial about being fat. I knew my friends weren’t experiencing the chafing pain of thighs rubbing together and breasts that stretched out every top I owned. But feeling into and moving my body it felt the same as it does now. I thought when I’d lost all that weight I’d suddenly feel… different.

And when I didn’t, there was a certain level of disappointment. I’d been searching for a massive change and shift for most of my teenage and young adult life. That pinnacle moment, when I would finally feel connected back into myself, but it never came.

Sure I felt more confident and sexy, but that was because my clothes finally fit properly and I could wear what I wanted. I had gone through a huge transformation, but when I was alone, one-on-one with myself, I still felt the same. I can’t be the only one who’s searched for answers and come up empty handed. Who’s done a complete 180 only to realize the same person’s still reflecting back at you in the mirror. It was then that I understood there was so much more to me than this physical body.

I might lose some of you with this, but when I young I would lay in bed and could feel my etheric bodies radiating out beyond my physical body. The feeling wasn’t static, there was movement and it had a gentle pulse, almost like a hum that was moving in unison.

If you’ve ever taken a generous dose of psilocybin you’ll know what I mean. It’s like when you notice all the molecules, in everything around you moving. Vibrating ever so slight, with their own heartbeat of energy, even though the objects you’re looking at are solid.

In the wee hours of the night I could feel the rippling of my own energy moving outward from my body. But as I got older I started to disconnect from my body. I learned to hate it. I criticized every aspect of it as it grew from child to adult. Feeling shame about the one thing I couldn’t change, that was mine and mine alone. I was relentless.

You see, the more cruel I was to my body, the more wound up my nervous system became. And the more wound up my nervous system got, the less connected I was into my intuition, which sent me searching for answers outside of myself. Looking for hope, love, and acceptance from anyone and everyone.

Plus my body was littered with trauma. Holding onto weight as a means for protection, but I didn’t see it that way. I saw it as an act of rebellion. My body and I were at odds, fighting a battle I didn’t even know existed. The more I pushed, the harder it rebelled, until one day I finally surrendered.

For years I tried to get back to the state of conscious awareness, laying in bed trying so hard to feel into my energy bodies, only to come up fruitless. My body didn’t feel safe enough to allow me to tap into theses higher levels of energy. And to be honest, why would it? It’s not like I was providing an optimal environment built on love and trust. I wasn’t actually doing anything to support myself. Indulgence ran the show and discipline was nonexistent.

We truly don’t know, what we don’t know. If you’ve never experienced your own power, then how do you know if you have it? If you’ve been operating under the same mindset and conditioning for years on end, how do you even know to change it? If you’ve been playing small, safe, or scared, how do you find the courage to go big?

Insert My Fat Girl Guide to Forgiveness:

Step 1: Get real with yourself! All those feelings and emotions you’ve been avoiding like the plague aren’t going anywhere. In fact, they’re just going to manifest into serious health problems, until you start giving them the attention they’re so desperately craving.

Step 2: Be nice to yourself. Get out of your own bullshit and take responsibility for your life, but through the lense of compassion. I was fat, because I was searching for safety and comfort. I was a child who didn’t know how to process her emotions properly and I was surrounded by people who didn’t know how to help me, because they also hadn’t learned how to process their emotions. If we don’t have the tools to help ourselves, then how can we be to blame?!

Step 3: Take action. Ngl people do not like this step. So I want to call out any resistance you may have, because it requires you to stop living in victimhood. In step 3, you stop pointing fingers and/or looking for pity. I hate to break it to you, but your pain and trauma does not make you special. Everyone is dealing with something. It’s about taking radical responsibility for who you are. You are no longer a victim of circumstance, you are the creator of your reality. Once you realize that, moving in the direction of your dreams becomes a hell of a lot easier.

Step 4: Operate from a place of love. In everything you do, ask yourself: am I moving towards love or away from love? Then act accordingly. Now sure, there are moments when you want to move away from love, we’re human after all. This guiding principle really helped me navigate away from a victim mindset. It gave me permission to show myself kindness and compassion. Allowing me to understand the cause and effect of my actions, additions, and behaviors. It gave me the strength to try and fail, then try again. To finally realize, I was bigger and better than the story I’d been telling myself all along!

Step 5: Allow yourself to heal. Find practices, modalities, and people who will support and lift you up. Healing isn’t meant to be done alone, so lien on your support system. The people who love you, WANT to help you.

After that forgiveness came naturally and all the extra weight I’d been holding onto for so many years, literally fell off my body. Because I finally got out of my own way and gave myself the thing, I’d been craving for so long… Love❣️

🪄 Alchemize the Energy: Make a Money Bowl

A money bowl is a manifestation tool and form of money magic used to attract wealth, prosperity, and financial opportunities. Known as a "living altar", it’s filled with intentional objects, herbs, and crystals that work together to attract wealth, abundance, and financial flow into your life. And next Thurs, April 16th is the perfect day to create one!

I’m sharing this a week in advance to give you time to collect + prepare

Gather Your Materials:

A vessel that symbolizes wealth or abundance to you. Ideally made of gold, copper, green ceramic, clear glass, brass, or a natural material. I’m using a large ocean shell as it carries the energy of endless flow and vastness.

Base Layer:

• Uncooked rice, for abundance + prosperity underpinning everything

• Salt for purification, protection, + energetic stability

Ingredients (choose from any of the following)

Herbs + Spices:

• Cinnamon for fast cash flow + to speed up manifestations

• Bay Leaf for success

• Coffee Grounds to wake things up + stir the energy

• Basil to attract prosperity + repel negative energy

• Star Anise to attract good luck

• Oregano to protect your well

• Chamomile to protect harmony + increase cash flow

Essential Oils (only need a drop or 2):

• Bergamont for overall prosperity

• Patchouly for grounding + money drawing

• Lavender for creating money with

• Citrine to attract wealth

• Pyrite for prosperity + to get creative about where abundance comes in

Money Money Money:

• Coins, the conductors of energy. Any form works here, lucky or foreign

• Paper Money, rolled towards you to bring in the energy of money

Miscellaneous Objects:

• Anything Meaningful to YOU that represents prosperity or wealth

• Candle in green, gold, white, or orange. I recommend anointing with intention oil, cinnamon and/or basil + carving a sigil or dollar sign into it

Creating Your Bowl

Cleanse. Start by cleansing your bowl, space, and ingredients with smoke, sage, palo santo, sound, and/or your breath.

Intention Setting. Hold your bowl in both hands and speak your intention aloud. Then write it down on paper as if already true. Be sure to include ‘I am’ or ‘I have’ statements. Fold the paper toward you, to pull the energy in and place your intention at the bottom of the bowl. You can also create a sigil.

Build. Layer your bowl with intention by speaking the purpose of each item you add. Pour rice on top of your paper, then sprinkle with salt. Next add in your chosen ingredients, again speaking the purpose for each item out loud.

“I welcome steady income.” “I attract all the right clients.” “Abundance flows to me easily + effortlessly.” “I am an open channel for receiving.”

“Bay leaf, infuse your energy of financial opportunity into this bowl.”

Activate. Once built, charge the bowl with your full presence and emotion. Hover your hands over it, as if warming them by a fire and restate your intentions, in present tense, as if already true. Then feel the feelings you want to have. This is also the perfect time to light your candle (if included). Since this is on the eve of the New Moon, you may place it outside or in a windowsill to further infuse it with the energy of the moon.

Placement. Where you put your bowl is just as important as building it. It should be visible, ideally in the wealth corner of your home (far back left corner, as you face your front door), SE corner of home or office (Feng Shui), your desk, or a high traffic area, such as your living room or front entry.

It’s important for you avoid bathrooms or in the kitchen near the sink (symbolizes money flowing away), on the floor, near cluttered or neglected corners, and/or near broken items (fix them, they drain wealth!).

Timing. Why Thurs, April 16? Because it’s the eve of the New Moon, which is perfect for new beginning and fresh intentions. Thursday is also important as it’s Jupiter’s day, the planet of expansion, abundance, and prosperity, and often seen as the powerful day of the week for money magic.

Keep Your Bowl Alive (do one or all of the following)

Daily. Add a grain of rice each day with spoken intention: “abundance is growing” or “money flows to me steadily”. Speak to your bowl and thank it every time money arrives. Stir the contents clockwise, to draw energy in.

Weekly. Light a candle in or beside your bowl while focused on prosperity. Add coins, herbs or a drop of essential oils. Dust and keep it clean and tidy. Speak affirmations into it while holding or stirring the bowl.

Monthly. Ideally on the 1st or New Moon. Refresh/change the rice, salt, or herbs. Cleanse your crystals, money or objects. Reaffirm your intentions.

It can be really scary to believe in yourself. What if you just can’t do the thing that you’ve always wanted to do? What if you fail after you've told everyone about your grand plans? What if, what if, what if?

What if you let 10, 20, or even 30 years go by living in total regret? What if you wake up one day and admit to yourself that you’re unhappy and unfulfilled? What happens if you realize that you’ve let your life completely pass you by?

The real reason I think most people struggle to follow through is due to self-doubt. We don’t actually believe we can do the thing. Society has taught us to live from lack. A lack in your abilities, your resources, and permission to go after the things you really want out of life. But why not you?

We’ve been so conditioned to have a scarcity mindset that pulls us away from our hopes and dreams as we watch thousands of other people, JUST LIKE US, succeed. But why not you?

We’ve have been led to believe that it will be hard, far harder than sacrificing every day of your life for the hopes and dreams of someone else. That if you want to ‘take the leap’ everything single thing must be planned to a T. That believing in yourself is a luxury only few can afford. But why not you?

In no way was I ready. I didn’t have enough money saved, I didn’t have a plan, and I didn’t even have a client roster available to support me as I took the leap, but what I had was unwavering faith in myself. Because WHY NOT ME?

I’d seen plenty of other idiots succeed in far more crazy endeavors than mine. People make money by (I don’t think you’re ready for this list)…

Selling: feet pics, breast milk (to adults!), AI generated coloring books, air from specific locations (like a jar of fresh mountain or NYC air), rocks with googly eyes

Offering Services as Professional: cuddlers, gift wrappers, home baby proofers, nap or sex consultants, digital detox facilitators, linkedin ghost writers.

Foundations, Sanctuaries + Orgs for: pay phones, neon signs, bat rehabilitation, teaching the incarcerated to train service dogs, preserving forgotten recipes.

To my astonishment, the moment I decided I was going to stop making excuses (out of fear) and start believing in myself, everything I needed started to appear. Because the Universe does not believe in hoarding assets. It provides the moment you need it. So why not you?

You will never be ready and you will never have it all figured out, because it doesn’t work that way! It’s about having blind faith in yourself and your abilities. It’s about having trust in the Universe and God to support you through it all. It’s about following the joy in your life. So why not you?

Life is meant to be lived! Life if meant to be full of magic and miracles! It’s not meant to be wasted away doing something that makes you unhappy. Use your unhappiness and frustration as fuel to take the power back in your own life. If I can do it, so can you! I’m no one special. I’m just a girl who realized there’s more to life than what I was giving myself credit for. So I ask again, WHY NOT YOU!

🪄 Alchemize the Energy: 444 Manifestation Ritual

This is a reprogramming ritual with repetition meant to move your goal from conscious to subconscious, so that you start acting on it automatically.

Pick one goal: Be specific and write in present tense.

Ex: “I am so grateful for the consistent, compounding flow of abundance in my life” or "I am grounded in a life that feels as good as it looks"

Then hand write this exact statement 44 times every day for 4 days straight. The physical act of writing connects your brain to your hand and helps to solidify it in your subconscious mind. If you happen to miss a day, start over as this energy is about discipline.

💁‍♀️ Story Time:

I grew up very aware of my body and not in a good way. I was constantly thinking about and being reminded of it by my parents, friends, even strangers. I also developed my… personality when I was 10 or 11, which garnered a lot of unwanted attention at a young age.

I can’t ever remember being given permission or even encouragement to love my body. Instead, I was taught to restrict, criticize, and cover it up. I was already living in shame and wasn’t even aware of it.

And that’s not to put blame on my parents, because I’m sure they weren’t taught to love their bodies either, especially growing up in the 80s-90’s when diet culture was at its peak. Insert a box of Snackwells cookies and a reheatable Lean Cuisine here (which probably contributed to my cancer. I’m mostly kidding).

I just thought that was normal. I remember my Yiayia specifically commenting on women’s bodies: this person got so heavy, that person lost a lot of weight. It was a constant topic of conversation, which kept feeding me the same message. If you want people to like you, or better yet, love you, you had to be thin.

This story would later get reinforced by my mother, who was trying to motivate me to lose weight, “Don’t you want to have a boyfriend one day?” Or how my dad would bully me, calling me tubby and making comments like thunder thighs. Talk about a self-esteem boost.

But I get it. My parents unfortunately were at a loss and didn’t know what to do, so they tried a method they thought would work. Instead it just made everything worse. I’m a very sensitive person, which makes sense given my line of work, so I took those words to heart and instead of motivating me, then sent me deeper into a negative pattern of self-loathing.

I kept turning to food for comfort because I didn’t know where else to get it. There was no where else to turn. There’s nothing quite as shitty as feeling unloved and as a result I started acting out. I didn’t realize it at the time, but looking back now it’s make sense. And to be clear, this is not to say my parents didn’t love me, because they did, just not in the way that I needed it. But I’m sure it was hard to love me. I was a naughty kid, so fearful of being herself, yearning so deeply for love.

It’s the sense of being totally isolated while surrounded by people. Plus, add in the fact that I’m a naturally happy person, one who learned how to don a mask of perfection, holding her secrets close to the chest, afraid someone may find out the truth of who I am at a moments notice and decide to leave.

When you appear to be happy all the time, people don’t question the darkness that lives inside you, because they don’t even know it exists. But I didn’t want to continue living this way. I wanted to be truly happy, so I went looking for it in all the wrong places.

Insert a bunch of losers, drugs, and self-sacrificing here. First, I tried to find happiness in drugs, which made me temporarily happy. Then I looked for happiness and love in guys, which only buried the issues and emotions I was already trying to escape. And when all else failed, I turned inward and started sacrificing parts of myself for the wants and needs of others.

We don’t have time to go through the LAUNDRY LIST of people pleasing activities I used to partake in. It’s longer than a CVS receipt and extremely embarrassing, so I’ll spare you the details. Just know that in my pursuit of happiness I became a full on people pleaser.

a person who has an emotional need to please others, often at the expense of their own needs or desires.

I thought putting people first would prove my value and worth. I was sacrificing for others, surely when I needed them, they would sacrifice for me? WRONG. That’s not how it works, which is why the people pleaser inevitably turns resentful. Translation: it’s time to look inward. My people pleasing, self-loathing, and cancer diagnosis were the trifecta I needed to turn my life around.

We may desire change, but if we’re not ready it’s never going to happen. And if you’re focused on the wrong things, you’ll never see that the answers you’ve been seeking are right inside you. For me it started as an emotional tug. Observing how others put themselves first without guilt or shame, valuing themselves and their time more than anyone else. I used to label it as selfish, but now I see it as a an act of love. And I wanted that kind of love.

I’d gone up and down with my weight for as long as I can remember, and at this point I was at the highest I’d ever been. I wasn’t able to lose weight, because I needed to heal first. I owed it to myself to understand what my body had been screaming at me for the past 10+ years. The feelings I’d so easily suppressed and ignored.

The emotional tug turned into a dull ache in my heart. A constant thought and realization that I didn’t have to continue living like this. That I could love myself. That I deserved to be happy, truly happy.

When a thought or feeling creeps into your awareness, pay attention. Nothing arrives by accident. There is always a reason, always a message. We leave ourselves little breadcrumbs to follow back toward healing. And while this looks different for everyone, the throughlines are always the same.

We all want security, worthiness, connection, autonomy, competence, and authenticity.

Once you become aware of how your thoughts or behaviors fit into these categories, you’re ready for healing. It’s the turning point of admitting to yourself that something needs to change. You don’t have to have any answers, it simply comes down to awareness and honesty with yourself.

This is why I won’t shut up about setting intentions. It kickstarts everything and cracks the door open to possibility. It allows new awarenesses to come into your auric field. Spirit is more clever than we’ll ever be, which means the opportunity for magic and miracles to find us, just when we need them most is ever abundant IF YOU LET THEM IN. If you admit that you’re ready for change.

🪄 Alchemize the Energy: Full Moon Spray for Clarity

There are a few ingredients at the moon more than Jasmine, lemon, and rose, and they just happen to be a fragrance combination. Frankincense is also a great moon choice that adds a bit of depth and complexity to otherwise simple blend.

• 4 oz or 120 ml distilled water (to make Moon Water)

• 25 drops of jasmine absolute essential oil

• 50 drops of lemon essential oil

• A couple drops of frankincense essential oil

• 1 teaspoon rose tincture, or rosewater

First you must make Moon Water. Fill a clear spray bottle with 4 oz or 120 ml of distilled water. We use distilled water to ensure it’s free from impurities and won’t mold or get funky over time. Then place the water in the moonlight for several hours or overnight, allowing it to absorb the moon's energy and carry its spiritual properties.

The next day add all of the remaining ingredients. Allow the formula to synergize for at least one day, then shake well before each use and spray as desired. The spray will stay fresh for up to one year, just be sure to keep out of direct sunlight while storing.1

🫶 Overheard in Session

This week one of my client's dogs came through with a message: let go of the guilt and the pain. This sweet animal wanted her to put down the regret and let it dissolve, because wrapped up in those emotions was a life lesson that had already been learned and was ready to be released. As humans we can be so hard on ourselves, holding ourselves to impossibly high expectations and replaying every moment we think we got wrong. What we actually need is compassion for ourselves. We did the best we could. It's literally all anyone asks of us. ISN’T THAT SWEET!

I hate to admit this, but I’ve been holding onto a lot of trauma from my last serious relationship. I thought I was just sad and confused about it being over—grieving the loss of something real. what I see so clearly now is that I was in an aggressive cycle of trauma and extreme manipulation. My weaknesses and insecurities were laid out on a table in front of me, while I tried to make sense of madness I was living in. There were so many lies. So much deceit.

I remember one specific night when he told me that, “maybe if I’d cared more, I could have saved my dad’s life.” Monster. This man was, I mean IS, an actual monster.

I have to get credit where credit’s due. My friends were right. He was a bad man and I should have left sooner. It’s just, when you’re in the middle of it, you don’t know how to get out. And it’s not from a lack of trying. It’s not like I wanted to be there. I had tried to get out so many times, but he just kept twisting everything back on me. Coercing me. Cpnvincing me that I was wrong. He made me believe that I was the problem. He used my kindness and understanding against me.

The whole time, he knew I wouldn’t tell anyone shit. I honestly don’t know how he did it! That’s a lie, I know how he did it. He moved slowly, came on fast and hard in the beginning, and was the epitome of perfection. And then, after the love bombing (which I pretended not to hear), the attention, the affection, and revolving door of lavish gifts, he ever so slightly started to change. Talk about playing the long game.

But this isn’t about that insecure, pathetic POS. It’s about ME.

POS \ (ˌpē-ˌō-ˈes) \ noun
A derogatory slang term and acronym for “piece of shit.” It is used to describe an object, person, or situation that is considered to be of extremely poor quality, completely dysfunctional, or morally contemptible.

After that relationship ended I was broken! Shattered into a million little pieces. Fearful that I would never be able recover. What I realize now is that I wasn’t grieving from the relationship—I was recovering from the trauma. I didn’t feel comfortable telling anyone about the true extent of my abuser’s behavior, and since he’d cornered me into burning SO MANY bridges, I didn’t think I could tell, anyone, except a select few (Kristin + Gretchen ILYSM!).

I cried and I cried and I cried. Until one day I didn’t. It was the day the light came back to my eyes. I turned all my focus inward and got back to healing. It’s like I’d almost forgotten about the one thing that could and would fix all of this!

My aura started to radiate out farther than it had in years and I felt happy. Genuinely happy. There’s no better feeling than be happy. Well, maybe being in love. But true happiness—the kind that pours out of you from the depths of your soul, not because of the influence of other people or things, but true innate happiness—I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

It’s the moment when you stop bracing. For me it was like I stopped living with low grade dread and started feeling calm again. I was sleeping restfully and I dropped a few pounds naturally, it just fell off me (my body holds onto weight when I’m stressed). Even my immune system improved.

In that relationship I was sick ALL the time. I even told him once, '“YOU’RE make me sick!” He was flabbergasted. How could he, this upstanding citizen, this ‘good person’, possibly be making me sick? I wish I could run him over with my car.

One of the things I didn't realize I was doing, until much later, was saying yes again. Yes to going out, yes to seeing friends, yes to repairing relationships (I have the most wonderful, loving friends). I fucking sparkled and nothing could stop me.

The best part of being happy is that you easily slide into receiving mode. You just get things. You become a magnet for everything you want as magic and miracles shower down on you. Which inevitably makes you happier. Then another wave of fulfilled manifestations shows up on your door and the cycle continues.

I share all of this not because I want sympathy—that’s honest to God the last thing I EVER WANT. I share it in hopes of helping others. Other men and women who feel stuck in bad relationships and are confused as to how to get out. You can do it. It’s going to take a little work and potentially a lot of effort, but you can do it. You just have to believe in yourself. You have to love yourself more than anything else. You have to be your own driving force, because no one can truly break ties but you.

💚 THE GREEN CHIME CANDLE

Green is the color of growth, abundance, and new beginnings — exactly what we’re calling in.

To use it with your oil: hold the candle between your palms and think about what you’re planting this season. It’s important that you get specific. Then anoint the candle with a small amount of your intention oil, working from the center outward (this draws things toward you). Then light and state your intention out loud. Make sure to let it burn down completely (about 45 min).

When it comes to candle work, you don’t always need a fancy ritual, you just need to mean it. This is why journaling and visualization often go hand in hand with candle work, it helps to get you into the feelings of what you’re trying to call in.

Pro tip: If you don’t have a tiny holder, light the candle, then use some of the wax to adhere it to your surface, such as a glass dish (or even a larger candle holder).

🍂 THE BAY LEAF

Bay leaves have been used for centuries in manifestation work — they’re one of the simplest and most potent tools you have.

Write one intention on your bay leaf. Something you’re calling in, not something you’re releasing. Keep it short and specific (can even be one word, becauses remember, it’s about the feeling and intention you’re puttin into it). Then either burn it safely (releasing the intention to the universe) or place it under a candle, in your wallet, or somewhere meaningful to you. Some people keep theirs until the intention manifests, then burn it as a form of gratitude.

If you want to go deeper: anoint the bay leaf with a drop of your intention oil before you write on it.

🧿 THE EVIL EYE PIN

Included for a little bit of extra protection. They keep your energy yours, especially when you’re actively in a manifestation or growth period, because you don’t want outside interference messing with what you just set in motion.

The eye shouldn’t be visible to other people. Pin it on the inside of your jacket or place it the glove box of your car. You could even put it to the inside pocket of a bag you wear all the time. While cute, they’re not always meant to be seen by others.

If it breaks, don’t panic. This means it’s done it’s job and protected you from negative energy! Whatever ill will someone tried to place on you was absorbed by the eye.

Did you know: you’re not supposed to buy your own eye. It should be a gift from someone who cares about you.

⚡️ Week of March 19 Energy Update:

♈️ March 20th = Spring Equinox, Mercury goes direct (finally), + The Astrological New Year

The Spring Equinox is a moment when the energy grid of the planet moves into higher harmony, as the sun enters Aries on the 20th. Mercury also stations direct in Pisces ending the retrograde that started back on February 26. This means our own energy centers can be replenished more easily, and the intentions we put out carry extra weight.

This is one of those weeks where you’ll find your rituals have the impact you’ve been looking for. Don't skip them!

💦 On March 22 Neptune Cazimi + Mars trines Jupiter

The Sun and Neptune meet at the same degree, which means the veil between logical and mystical gets very thin. Pay attention to your intuition as it will be heightened, along with your creativity and spiritual connection. This week I had a session with a dear friend and 14 generations on his mother’s side continued to pop up for him. Something very significant had happened in his family lineage which was impacting his relationships. After the session he sent me this text:

I just peeked at Ancestry, and one of my mom’s lines does go back 14 generations recorded. And it’s the first time that I’ve checked that the family tree that that generation is there now. And cosmically enough my middle name is this woman’s maiden name.

You’d think by now I wouldn’t be shocked and surprised by what comes through in a session, but spirit continues to amaze me! I feel so lucky that this is my job!!

💁‍♀️ Story Time:

When a woman’s done in a relationship, she’s done. and I feel like men don’t always understand that. Because in my opinion women aren’t as impulsive as men. How did I come to this conclusion? Well, because I used to listen to a lot of murder podcasts (before I got more advanced in my healing practice).

When a woman murders, it’s typically premeditated. She’s been planning his demise, his death, his fall from grace for so long that she’s had time to refine and her strategy and execute it. (Do you like how I just assumed most women murder men? BUT CAN YOU BLAME ME?) Whereas men are known for crimes of passion, because they get wrapped up in the heat of the moment and act before they think (and they say women are emotional ones 🙄).

A violent crime, especially homicide, committed in a sudden fit of rage or intense emotional disturbance caused by a specific provocation, rather than as a premeditated act.

Which is why I think women know it’s over before it’s actually over. In every single one of my longer term relationships I have said to my partner, “Heyyy so things aren’t working… and something needs to change”. Each time I’ve sounded the alarm and given them a warning, but did they take it seriously? No.

By the time I spoke up, which let’s say was six months prior to the end of a relationship, I was already checked out. I was already done. I’ve never been one to just give up on someone, so even though I knew I was ready to throw in the towel, I was willing to give it one last shot.

Each time I went to one of my boyfriends and said, “I’m struggling and I’m not happy for reasons XYZ”, I expected change—or at the very least an adjustment in the right direction. I had the conversation. I had communicated my wants/needs clearly and asked for my partner to meet me halfway. Hell, even a quarter of the way would have probably appease me. Let’s not forget, I haven’t always had a lot of self-esteem, which meant i was asking for the bare minimum.

And you know what they didn’t do? Anything.

Now, I don’t want to sound ignorant. I know we can’t expect people to change for us, they have to want to change on their own. That’s a common lesson that continues to pop up as a throughline in my life. I like to pride myself on seeing the good in people, but sometimes, more often than I’d like to admit, I’ve just had blinders on. I gave grace when I didn’t need to, which is why a lot of these relationships went on for far longer than they should have.

And yet, every single time I finally hit that wall—the point of no return, the "I don't wanna date you anymore" moment—these idiots were always shocked. As if it was brand new information. As if I hadn’t actually given them a warning or spoke about my transgressions or let them know where I was unhappy. Nope, they were always blindsided and confused.

It blows my mind. Like helloooo? Where were you when I was crying? They clearly weren’t taking me or our relationship seriously and every time I vowed to speak up for myself sooner. Whichhhh is a promise I would end up breaking to myself over and over again.

But back to my original thought… because my body knew these relationships were over wayyy before I did. I was dealing with a constant stream of symptoms, that I never really paid attention to. I was irritable, anxious, extremely emotional, with constant feelings of low-grade dread. Plus I was getting sick all the time, which caused irregular periods, breakouts, and non-stop inflammation.

Remember the Grumpy Guy? Well, my vagina certainly does. I kept getting BV the entire time we were together — never had it before in my life. She was actively trying to end that relationship before I did. Sending a very clear, direct message: don’t let his dick get anywhere near you. Did I listen? Nope. I kept going back and I kept getting BV.

According to Louise Hay: Vaginitis = anger at a mate, sexual guilt, and punishing the self (sounds about right)

Now that I’ve been on this entrepreneurial healing journey (which is different than the healing journey I’d done prior), I’m realizing just how fucked up my body actually was. I thought my symptoms were about not being focused or trying hard enough. Issues as a result of poor eating, staying up too late, or not working out. I blamed it on work spilling into my personal life or partying too much. I made so many excuses for all of it, but the reality was my body was screaming at me and I wasn’t listening.

I don't think we realize just how much and how often our bodies are talking to us. I think it's a lot more than we'd like to admit. And the problem with today's society is that you go to the doctor, they give you a pill, and then POOF problem's gone. But it's not gone. It's just been masked. You've applied a band-aid which is only going to last so long before the body starts talking to you in another way.

I know I've talked about her before, but Louise Hay is a genius. She was able to bridge the gap between emotions and the body by mapping specific physical symptoms to the feelings underneath them. Your body isn't just randomly breaking down. It's trying to communicate with you!

So the next time you're being hard on yourself — feeling like you haven't done enough, like you could always be doing more — I want you to pause before you spiral. Before you go full mean girl on yourself. Because you are someone who is doing their best, out here navigating the crazy wild times of 2026. And you deserve a little more grace than that. I want you to consider: what is your body trying to tell you.

Because it probably isn’t just an injury from the gym. It’s probably something bigger. And if you don’t listen up, if you don’t start paying attention, your body is just gonna get louder and bolder with its claims, with its problems, with its demands, with its needs, with its attempts to get your attention at every turn. And let me tell you from someone who’s survived cancer, you don’t want the noise to get louder or bolder.
